Okay so I got this book for Christmas. You've probably heard about it already; it's all over Featured sections in e-book and IRL book stores. It's called I'll Give You The Sun, by Jandy Nelson. Ho-lee shit this book.
The reason I haven't been online earlier to keep my feed from getting out of hand is because I've spent most of the morning and half my afternoon tearing through this book. WARNING before you read it though: this book will make you laugh. This book will make you cry. This book will make your heart pound. This book will rip your heart out and then thrust it back in changed from what it was before. This book is a roller coaster ride of feels. But it's totally worth it for that sweet, beautiful, glorious ending.
You know what else it has that's awesome? Boy x Boy romance. With a happy ending. We need more of that in bookstores everywhere. (Mental note.)
So, yeah, you should pick it up some time if you're interested in stuff like what I just described and haven't read it already.
Sorry, but I'll have to pass. boy x boy has never been my thing, though I agree bookstores could use more queer romance of the MxM variety (and the FxF variety as well. I actually have plans for a lesbian romance/newly created AI in society novel, believe it or not)
