A Return! (Triumph Optional)

So, as my interests do, my attention wandered away from FIMFiction and onto other things; and I don't just mean writing, I mean even visiting the site. I don't know exactly how long it's been, but I've missed at least one major site update, and by long enough that I didn't see any of the rage it caused. (All UI changes cause rage. All of them.)
I might want to get back into writing, but doing so requires that I get back into practice. Hence, this post. I may do some more, similar posts in the days ahead.
My day job continues to basically be "More of the same" 'cept I've become the Senior Drafter at Advanced Industrial Automation, so with projects completed and the end of the year looming I've been investing time in developing tools to make my job easier.
I'm still involved with Everfree Northwest, and... Hmm. I could talk about reasons to go, but I'd rather talk about the stuff I'm more closely involved in.
EFNW now has an office/workspace/warehouse now, that we'll be using to store & build stuff for the con. As Logistics Lead just getting our stuff moved out of that (honestly, not that pleasant to work in) storage unit has been a major improvement. We've even started in on sorting what we have, which will make figuring out what we have easier down the line. (Which reminds me, I need to send some emails...)
I was also able to talk my father, who has recently retired from Boeing, into joining EFNW staff to help build stuff... And I was finally able to sit down with him last weekend to watch the Elements of Harmony two-parter. (He enjoyed it.)
Hmm. That's enough for one day's dose. Next time, what I've been doing instead of reading fanfic.

Or writing about Fluttershy. And I wonder if you've been keeping up with STO. because a LOT has happened since you were here and there. Feel free to ask me; I'll answer any questions you have.
