Today I just learned that my best friend is no more. I will be taking over her main story DtD, since I was her leading editor.
First she left the fandom. Then she left my contact lists. but she sent me an email with her account's password and information. As you know I've been all but nonexistent on FFiction, yet is isn't out of boredom, spite or malice.
I just needed time to fully investigate this matter, then I needed to mourn. It was she whom inspired me to type about changeling romance, and made me fall in love with the idea of the Nymphlequine race. She was a great author in my eyes, and a close friend. Always eager to teach and learn...
(This picture inspired a 3 hour conversation about what would now be known as the Nymphlequine race between me and her)
That's really sad.
Well, losing a friend is a sad event. But she made a good choice in her predecessor. I have no doubt that you can take up her mantle and finish her story.

2586660 ...the feeling is much like given the deed to a lover's house. no matter where you step all you can think of is them. It's there clothes, and furniture... nothing makes me comfortable to be there besides fulfilling what I promised to her. which is getting her story finished.

2586730 It's not so bad. Reed likes her characters to fight into her chapters like puzzles. it's deciphering what characters are where that's a bit tricky for me. DtD has 10 or so main characters in parties of 3-4 and sometimes i forget which character she rotates into another group to add tension.(not at all her fault) But there's a reason my stories are either" click her to advance your story" or there's 3 characters you should care about,and the rest are just tension and foils for the main characters to reflect/conflict with.
