My name's PJ. I'm from New York. I write pony fics. I go to parties with bronies. I'm not good at self-introduction.

600 Followers and I'm still alive!

Every time I reach a new milestone in followers I like to make a blog post acknowledging how much you all mean to me. Thank you for pushing the button and looking at some of my pony words.

But, as you've seen, I haven't written nearly as much. There are reasons for this. Some good. Some bad.

    In-Derp-endence Day!

I am sitting on a lounge chair on the balcony of my Long Island home, a cold drink on the table at my side. In a few hours, if the weather holds, I will lean back and watch fireworks.

I have just typed the last word of Lyra's Human 2: Derpy's Human

500 Followers and a controversial ending

I usually make a blog post every time the first digit on my followers number changes, and this will be no exception. I was able to push it over the limit by getting My Girlfriend is a Siren into the feature box one more time. I hope to produce more stories that people like and that I like writing.

I actually publish something? What sorcery is this?!

I've been woefully lax in putting out new stories. Yes, I get my one chapter a week out, but I used to be able to do that while writing other stuff as well. I have a novel I'm working on, but that's been slow and I don't want to put it out until it's been gone over with severely. Next year, probably.

So just a few words on the ending of MGiaS, since I got a mixed reaction. First off, I wrote it exactly as I planned it, didn't cut it down at all. Some people were disappointed in the brevity of the ending, but I think a good story does that. The details of the ending are for your imagination to fill in; the broad strokes are what I give you. Some people wished that the "battle" had been longer, and that position I have more sympathy for, but again I said what I wanted to. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if it wasn't the perfect ending you wanted, I'm sorry, but feel free to take your own headcanon as true.

Anyway, I will continue to write fics for all of you and I hope you will stick around for them. It gives me a little pride to think of enough people to populate a small town watching me for stories.

I suppose it goes to show how well your readers thought of the story up to that point.

You walked your protagonist through mind-control, and the first-person telling made it extra sneaky and insidious. Your Sonata's perspective on life was quite alien to other humans, and more importantly, it actually showed in her behavior and in her words. Your take on Sonata in general stood out in that it wasn't diluted into simply "ditz" and "tacos omigosh" as is fairly common. They were there, but you explored the reasons behind it and portrayed them in a sensible way.

It's not terribly often that a story can take these sorts of concepts and execute them in as satisfactory a manner as you have.
