You know, I once thought writing would be easy- and it is, albeit only in short stories and other oneshots.
Before I joined FimFiction, I never tried to write anything more than a few thousand words, and now realise just how hard it is to keep a story going, and to avoid stutters and breaks. Because of this eye opener, I now appreciate other peoples work alot more.
Also, anyone who reads this, I have two main ideas for fics that I have partially written:
1. The Tinkerer
A young inventor creates a device designed to give non-unicorns magic, but accidentally 'kills' his best friend when trying to use it. So instead he must face his demons and defeat a great evil reborn. (Adventure)
2. (Unnamed)
A young man is forced to trade dimensions with a great evil, but there is a twist. He is a pony, sort of. The man must then face himself, overcome his trial and right the damages to both Equestria, and his home.
(HIE, anthro, Adventure)
So which would you guys prefer to see happen? I don't really know which I want to finish writing first, and although I generally don't like anthro, I want to write this one because it has a unique twist.
I'll do my best to get at least one out, and I'll set writing targets for each week as my chapters are more or less planned already.
I think the first idea sounds great. Then again, it's how you execute it. We'll see how it goes! :D
