Character Comparisons: MLP/ONCE UPON A TIME! · 10:21pm Oct 22nd, 2014
Hello, there here is the start of a maybe new series (Probably Not) of blogs I call Character comparisons. Here I take a character from MLP be there Hero or Villain and compare them to another character from another show. Now remember these comparisons won't be total but there will be certain things I notice these characters have in common.
Today we compare two of MLP's Reformed Villains The Spirit of Chaos himself Discord and former Mean Girl turned Good Sunset Shimmer with the "Reformed" Villains of Storybrooke from ONCE Upon a Time, The Dark One, Rumplestiliskin and The Evil Queen Regina

Oh how I love these two Imps. Let me count the way. Now in terms of motives these two are a bit different, one wants to spread chaos and anarchy throughout Equestria while the other just likes to make deals for his own advantage. But these two actually do share a lot in common. They are both extremely powerful and ancient beings. They are both highly cunning and skilled in terms of planning and back up planning. They are both incredibly skilled talkers and know how to spot a loophole and exploit the heck out of it. And Finally, they both have (Loved) ones who are both extremely kind and generous and are able to put up with their more...questionable traits. (Rumple/Belle= Fluttercord)
Sunset Shimmer/ Regina

Mean Girl A meet Mean Girl B. Ah Regina and Sunset Shimmer, now this might be a pretty week interpretation, but I sincerely believe that Sunset Shimmer is a Teenage Regina. Both are incredibly....(Bleep Word) characters when they first appear, but they are also creditably ruthless and are willing to go as far as it takes to get what they want. (Granted Regina wants to and has killed people to get what she wants, but who knows how far Sunset would have gone had she continued down the dark path). However they were both defeated and thus needed to change their ways. Now Sunset was a lot more humble in defeat than Regina, who decided to try the evil thing a couple more times before finally giving to the light. However one trait these two share whether evil or good is a great sense of sass, you don't want to mess with these girls, they will whoop your flank! So what can I say but ... you got to love the bad girls.
