Wow, so... my first blog post! This feels odd. Although, when I think about it, it's not too different from keeping a physical journal. It just feels odd that other people can read this if they so chose. I'm not that worried.
I've read tons of Fics on this site, but have never posted before yesterday. I've written plenty of pieces before, just never to be shared. Only for my personal exercise. This is... surreal. It's strange to me to think that something I wrote is now available to be read on this website. I always considered the authors here (for the most part) to be way above my own skill level. I suppose, deep down, I still do. I feel like a goldfish tossed into a large pond. I only hope I can keep up with my reader's expectations.
I had a dream last night. Maybe the strangeness of having actually posted for the first time finally sunk into my subconscious. I dreamed that hundreds of people had read what I posted, and commented, and loved it. It was a nice dream, admittedly. When I woke, I checked my story. 15 whole people had liked it.
Those 15 made me happier than any dream fan base ever could.
I'm still new to this. To actually posting on Fimfiction. I have no idea what I'm doing, or how any of this works. No idea how to show off my story to people, expose it to other readers.
But I guess I'm feeling... confident, maybe? I'm not sure of the word. Satisfied, I suppose. I'm feeling satisfied that I made the right decision.
If nothing else, I'm certain this experience will help me grow as a writer.
I must be off now. I'm currently writing the third chapter. This project continues to surprise me.

Actually, since we're on the subject, I have no idea how these groups work. Is it that every member gets their stories automatically added to their lists? Or that it simply puts you in contact with like-minded individuals?
