Apparently, Naruto (manga) is going to end in 5 chapters. · 3:44pm Oct 6th, 2014
I've grown up watching Naruto (dubbed version) and it was such a large part of my childhood. I was living in America when I was 11 (or 10, not too sure) and I remembered gathering with my siblings to sit down at a couch and watch. We'd never get past episode 50 somehow because Cartoon Network would keep doing reruns of episode 50. But in the end, we discovered the internet so we could watch to our heart's desire. So to think that the series is going to end before this year ends... It's really sad, to be honest. It would truly be the end of an era.
I was actually thinking of making a piece of fiction satirising the hilarious elements of anime (e.g. the large use of flashbacks, really complicated technique names and mechanics, the need for characters to explain said mechanics, hidden moves that don't exist until the last second, ridiculous scale of power etc.) and Naruto would be the anime I'd parody. Looking at the episodes, I'm reminded vaguely of a Michael Bay-esque movie with the character development alright at the most and the unbelievably terrible timing of the ninjas, with last minute saves occurring throughout the series. I'm always reminded that Masashi Kishimoto, the man behind Naruto, has Dragon Ball as one of his inspirations when it comes to shaping the Naruto series.
About my fics... I am going to make progress. The first story to be updated will be Button's Belle, but it's coming slowly; I've just recently backspaced about a 1,000 words.
Aw, I never watched Naruto but I have watched some other animes. They're a lot of fun and it's a real shame to see them go.
