Well, ain't those numbers interestin'.
Anyway, I'm writing this blog post instead of writing a chapter of fiction to say the following: I believe that I went in WAAAAAAAAAY over my big head when I started the two fics that now stand incomplete.
Here's the thing. I have a ton planned for them... in my head at least. but due to a lot of life stuff that has been popping up lately, writing them is going to be a serious challenge, such that if I ever do finish them, especially The Unfaithful Student, it will be a long long time from now. Like, a year long time from now, and that's while shortening them. (Little Butterfly might be doable in like 2 or 3 months, but that depends on life and my creative word sploching skillz)
And so what am I announcing? Well, not much other than the fact that it'll be a while before these stories reach their full size (if ever). Sure, they're adorable now because they're small, but just you wait. They become mean little buggers when they get big.
So... yeah, I hope that's not disappointing in any way (it probably is, but, I can't choose what life does to me. Only what I do to it.).
As for other stories that might be coming up, I have an idea that has been warshing around in my head for a long time. In fact, I was planning on writing it in a non-pony type novel, but considering that probably won't happen any time soon, I've converted it to pony, and it will be a one off. Just for fun. The gist is Twilight finds an ancient transcript of the council that occurred between Chancellor Puddinghead, Commander Hurricane, and Prince Platinum (yep, it was really a prince). The transcript shows that it wasn't just the animosity between the tribes that brought the windigos, but a war. A war that had reduced the tribes numbers to but the few that would fit in the council room. The discussion was about how they could make peace, and afterwards, plan to fight the windigos off, but instead old hatreds are brought to the table, and some very very (and I mean very) strong words are exchanged. The transcript is simply the words spoken by the leaders taken down by scribes (three from each tribe was responsible for recording it individually, then their records were merged to ensure accuracy).
The reading of the transcript will be very interesting, as Twilight, while she's reading, won't permit herself to say some of the things that were written down. You'll see what I mean.
Anyway, that's the gist of the upcoming one-off. Hopefully it gives me the motivation and spark I need to continue the other stories.
That's all for now. Until much laterz. Here, have some adowabews:
Take as long as you need. I know how much real life can get in the way. I hope things are going well for you.
Also, thanks for sharing the adorable Apple Bloom pic with us.
