No, not really... Reason: Luna still has a bit of Nightmare Moon in her. If she becomes too aggravated by Shining Armor, she may kill him. Without of course realizing what she had done. Couples argue it has to happen sometime..

2618228 Why every full moon? Even if that did happen, there's a lot of light in the sky because of the full moon reflecting the sun's light, so wouldn't it make more sense for it to be on a new moon?
4000547 She most likely does have some Nightmare Moon in her, and she waited until there was a full moon to raise it to cover the sun. Or maybe her act of revenge just happened to fall upon that day.
