What to expect from Darkness in the Heart + Special Stuff Just for you! · 4:08am Jun 15th, 2012
Alright everypony, take a seat. I got this. And, I have 3 points to address in this blog, so let's get in there.
Point 1: Expectations for my story: So, I sent in Darkness in the Heart into moderation today. When it passed, I hoped to find comments and criticism... my wish was not fulfilled. It had very little publicity and very few read it. However, I am not going to abandon it, since it isn't a bad project; it just didn't seem to appeal to most. I will try my best to update very often. Don't expect more than 4 days in-between updates. I'm aiming for 6 chapters of saving the mane 6, 3 background chapters, the prologue, and the finale, which adds up to 11 chapters. Expect this to be the amount, unless I have an idea for a new chapter. I will also add some minor plot twists in there to make it a fun and suspenseful read, unlike my other stories, which are basically linear.
Point 2: Updates: I'm working on the next chapter for it right now. For the few of you reading this, I'll give you a little insight, since you're special... Light saves Pinkie. What's so special, you ask? You already told us that, you say. Well, here's where the insight truly comes in. She isn't her happy-go-lucky self; this isn't going to be like Sweetie's Mansion. (Yes, I read the whole thing.) She's going to be Pinkemena (Is that how you spell it?) Diane Pie. Yes, her crazy self. Yes, her crazy self. Yes, her Cupcakes self. *Shivers.* But, she isn't going to be cutting any pony in half, thankfully. She's just not Pinkie Pie. K? And yes, I will be making a reference to cupcakes in there somewhere. (I plan on having Applejack saying that it would be Rainbow Dash's worst nightmare or something along those line. Or maybe I'll make the reference of the cutting knives and the hack saws. I dunno, but something will be in there.) You can't have a dark fic that features crazy Pinkie without a reference to Cupcakes somewhere in there. And it's also going to half a bit more length than the other chapters. (Probably over 2k words; I have something special in the beginning that makes it so that they set out to find Pinkie at about 1k words already.) I would be a bit farther, but I went on youtube, then I went on Brony Breakdown, so I haven't had much time to do anything.
Point 3: Elements of Awesomeness Sequel coming soon!: Sequel coming soon. It will focus much less on comedy and much more on character development, action, and Michael Bay-level plot twists. (Or whatever directer does awesome plot twists.) Here's a few notes that anyone looking forward to the sequel will want to know. First, Doctor Whooves becomes more of a mane character than Derpy. She's still important to the story (In fact, very important, but the doctor has a bigger role.) Two: There will be a major betrayal in this. And I mean, big. That's all I can say for that. Finally: I have a much better antagonist this time. It's actually original and doesn't feature over-done humans. And they have a much bigger role in the story this time. But just so you know, I'm going to finish DitH before even starting EoA2 so I have some straight priorities.
