As of last night, windows 8.1 decided it needed to update.
It's been on the restart screen for around 16 hours, and since it won't manually power off for whatever reason, I unplugged it this morning and hoped it'd run out of battery.
Unfortunately, any work I intended to upload or do is delayed for obvious reasons. Sorry for any delays, but there's not much I can do. I'm crossing my fingers the latest progress is intact still.
Update: I've graduated to a blank screen (which looked a lot like dead battery syndrome) a few seconds into login, after a power off by lack of battery. I'm hoping it's not at near-zero tomorrow and that it works. Yes, I should get a new charger. No, I won't get one.
