Remembrance/Sick of It · 7:33pm Sep 11th, 2014
Oh God in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, and hallowed be this day. May the names uncounted be remembered. May their families and their nation remember them always, and may there names be on our lips always. As for their killers, let their names be forgotten. May even their families forget them and all they stood for. May their bones not be buried, but lay and rot and be picked at by carrion birds. Lord, let Justice win, and evil be punished. Let this day be our Altar, and let it be sacred. For yours is the power and glory, Amen.
To those people(you know who you are) who attended the memorial I was at, and all like them: YOU ARE, ALL OF YOU, GARBAGE! Yes, you, who couldn't stay off your phone for five minutes. Yes, you, who just had to do your homework in the middle of the memorial. Yes, you who talked with her friends and COULDN'T. STOP. GIGGLING! Have you no shame!? Maybe I am too harsh, or I have misspoken. But on this day, 2977 innocents died, 343 of whom were firefighters who, knowing they may never come back, chose to risk it for others. And if you can't show these people the most minimum amount of respect, WHY COME AT ALL!
If you're still sore about this, try meditating on Matthew 5:43-48.
2492313 Thank you for the advice, Brother(?). While I was not really old enough to grasp it at the time, I just want to make sure we do not forget those who we have lost, and, I am ashamed to admit, to vent my spleen on a phenomenon I have seen at every memorial that I have ever attended for this day. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

No problem. I felt inspired to say something.

(And yes, I'm a dude.)
2492353 Actually it was a question of weather you were of the Faith or not , but thanks for bothering to answer.

Heh. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I was born into Christianity, fell away from it for a time, and was re-baptized in 2002.
