The Bad Beginning
If you have found youreself on this web page, then you must have made a terrible mistake. Most people enjoy stories with a plot that doesn't want to make them hide in a corner and weep for the rest of their lives, and I can assure you, this story will make you want to do that. I can honestly say that I am brought to tears by the very thought of what happens in this tragic tale. Even as I stand here writing this, far away from the loathsome location in which this story takes place, I still fear that when I turn around I wil come face to face with-
I'm terribly sorry for getting sidetracked there. As I was saying, you are most certainly here because of a folly on your behalf, and I urge you to leave now and forget that you ever saw this story. This morose narrative has no happy ending, nor does it have a happy beginning, and there are very, very few happy parts in the middle. Why am I making this story out to be so sorrowful? Because, this is the true story of the Baudelaires, and the misfortune that followed them across every corner of Equestria. It all started one afternoon on the dismal shores of Briny Beach...
