A Report Regarding "The Watchful Eye."

I have started a new chapter, and this one--I hope--will actually be full chapter-sized, as opposed to just 4-600 words. As said in my previous blog, the entire story is approaching the point at which I can say it's "almost over."

I am Back From the Depths of the Void! For Now!

So yes. I am not dead, and I have not lost interest in my writing. The problem, however, is that I have been losing interest in this writing. I have begun many stories and then, one by one, abandoned them either for an eternity or for almost an eternity. Why? Well let me tell you.

So yes. I am not dead, and I have not lost interest in my writing. The problem, however, is that I have been losing interest in this writing. I have begun many stories and then, one by one, abandoned them either for an eternity or for almost an eternity. Why? Well let me tell you.

As Jack London said: "You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club." This is true, and I have been doing just that. With a club magically enhanced and spiked with otherworldly metals. The issue, however, lies within the fact that I am hunting in a vast and desolate abyss, an endless void where man is unknown. I am hunting, but in a place where my senses are near useless, and where it is very rare that I stumble upon that rare delicacy that is "inspiration," but I can assure you, when I do find one, it gets hastily pounced upon and has many a nasty thing done to it.

I have found one of these gems of motivation that is, actually, rather convenient. I am not going to spoil it, but it is a certain world, a certain mythos, by a certain long-dead author whom I have recently come to admire. His world is one inside which many stories take place, not just by him, but by many others as well, and now myself.

Much of my attention toward writing has been sent off in the direction of my original works lately (I'm writing a novel for my Senior Project, huzzah!) - but as I said, inspiration has once again found me. I'm not making any promises, but you can almost-maybe-probably expect me to actually start being on this site again. The hero hath returned? No, the narcissistic and lazy writer has.

Right now, I am focusing mainly on "The Watchful Eye," which is beginning to near completion. Afterwards, I may focus on and end "The Supposed Dangers of Humanity," as well as give an update or two to "Skyclad and Honor-Bound," but before that I need to re-do my outline for it.

Other stories that have not felt the light of an update for nigh unto a year will finally be resurrected and I do have a couple of stories unpublished that might find themselves here as well. Look forward to my return, minions!

I thank you for your patience, friends.
