NatPoWriMo: BEGIN! · 2:19am Sep 2nd, 2014
It's September first as I write this, and that means NatPoWriMo has begun. For those who haven't heard of NatPoWriMo, it's the pony-fanfic version of NatNoWriMo.
For those who haven't heard of NatNo, the goal is to take a month--they use November--and write 50,000 words of a novel. Hectic.
My goal is more modest: I just want to get in the habit of writing. So I'm starting with a goal of one hundred words today, and an additional ten-words-per-day every day after that. (If I'm doing really well after a couple weeks, I may go to "ten words more than I got done last time I met goal".)
For accountability, I'll be putting them up on Penflip. That won't happen every day (maybe I'll aim for weekly), but one feature of Penflip means it'll be possible to check me once I do put them up.
Of course, I'm already behind, the pony-writing I have done so far today doesn't count...
I can't seem to find anything stating that it's this month. You sure about that? It seems to shift year to year.

Well. What fun.
Duckduckgo isn't helpful. Google wasn't much help either, but at least it returned relevant results. The ones that weren't FiMfiction.net were all EqD, and all old, though.
(Of those, one was a "begin" announce from Aug-2011 for Sep-2011, one was a "begin" announce from July-2012 Aug-2012, and one was an "end" announce from Oct-2013, for a Sep-2013 run. No sign of a 2014 post.)
I got my info from here: https://www.fimfiction.net/group/198860/fimfictionnet-napowrimo. This prompted me to check it, and it's somewhat dead looking, honestly, so I poked the admin.
I intend to do writing anyways.

I'll note that after I posted that previous comment, I went and spoke with Noble Cause, who's apparently run it in the previous years. He wasn't planning to do it again this year, but the conversation prompted Maskedferret to say she'd be interested in taking it over. So it may well still happen this year, but perhaps next month.
Of course, that's the EqD version. I've never heard of this FiMFiction version you discovered.
