I've found someone who is willing to give me a detailed critique of Stormy Skies. This means two things.
One: Stormy Skies will be undergoing significant edits in the near future. I'm already planning some changes to the CMC subplot. I want that to tie in more to the main plot, and also I don't like the way the CMC go about trying to get Scootaloo to fly. The methods they're using now don't feel right.
Two: Chapter Seven will be delayed until she finishes critiquing. This is the final chapter, and I really want it to tie the story together properly, so I'm wanting her feedback before I post it. I have a couple of other friends reading the story as well, and they might give me some feedback earlier, but nothing as detailed.
She's already given me some wonderful feedback on Chapter One, so progress should be fairly quick.
In the meantime, fear not. In addition to several one-shots, I already have a longer story in the planning stages. And for the first time, my planning stages involve actual planning. Which this story will need, with an epic scope, tense drama, perilous battles, and a time-manipulating villain seeking domination over the whole world. I hope to finish Stormy Skies before I start the writing on this new story, since I have a lot of planning to do before I put words to page.
