I haven't been idle these last weeks. No, not idle at all. I've been working on my next story, a wonderful look at Celestia and Luna's epic conflict with Discord. I've nearly finished the rough draft of the first chapter. If anyone is wondering why this is taking so long, I should mention that this first chapter is going to end up being nearly half as long as all of Stormy Skies. Yeah, I've always liked longer chapters, and now I'm trying to write them. I've also limited myself to a specific number of chapters for plot reasons (which will become obvious within the first two chapters), so I had to make the chapters longer to fit it all in.
A few more days should see a finished rough draft. Then I'll have my prereader go over it, take her suggestions and make corrections, and finally be able to post it. It might be a week or two yet before the posting happens.
Once I've got the first chapter posted, I'm going to try to stick to a two-week posting schedule for new chapters. I'm getting myself into the habit of writing daily, so I should be able to keep to this schedule if I don't fail horribly at habit-forming.
Now I'm going to rest. I just wrote 2,500 words, bringing the chapter up to about 7,400 words so far, and I need a break. More writing tomorrow!
Speaking of "Stormy Skies", where are you on that?

It's technically complete, but I need to post an epilogue (which will be under 1,000 words), and then do heavy editing. I've already gotten feedback from my friend, so all I need to do for editing is take the time to do it.
