My Little Review for Galacon 2014 · 9:37pm Aug 4th, 2014
So, I just arrived at home after staying for almost four days in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The reason: GalaCon 2014.
At first, I was a bit (very) nervous. I went to Zürich where I met the others from the group I was travelling with before we went on the train up north.
Arriving in Ludwigsburg first thing we tried to get our Tickets so that we hadn't to stay in a queue the next day. But, in contrary to last year as I've heard, there was no possibility of getting them early.
We then went to Stuttgart an had an amazing time there.
At one point we also noticed that the hotel we were in also held the community guests. What a pleasant surprise this was :)
Saturday was a bit hectic and exhausting, but also a lot of fun. We went to several panels and at one point I bought my second biggest treasure of the weekend: My new Princess Luna plushy. It was, for it's size and quality, pretty cheap and fit perfectly into my planned budget. I probably wouldn't had found it if it weren't for my friends.
I also got some autographs from Jennifer Weiss(German voice of Pinkie Pie), Julia Meynen(German voice of Twilight), Nicole Oliver and M. A. Larson.
Sunday was less exhausting but also very fun. I got the chance to meet a few of the community guests and talk with them. They are all great people and I hope that I can meet them again in the future.
The charity auction was also very exciting. Some of the people are crazy. A good kind of crazy. And for the third time out of three times the Swiss Bronies got the banner for GalaCon. Which I am part of now.
All in all the convention was great and I will try to attend next year, too, if there will be a GalaCon 2015 (I strongly believe so but who knows). Meeting all these people and being there with friends was great, especially because most people understood each other on the go and spending time with those people is amazing.
One last thing. All the people I met: Thank you. To the GalaCon Staff: Thank you very much. To the guests: Thank you a lot.
And especially thank you SwissBronies-United for sharing this amazing experience with me.
