A good way to prove you have no education in the Classics ... · 3:42am Jul 21st, 2014
... is to refer to a story written with only dialogue as "experimental."
Because a tradition that is over two millenia older than the novel is somehow an experiment.
Because in the modern era William Gaddis and Samuel Beckett and Sarah Kane and so on were all just fictions of my overactive, Slovenian imagination.
Also, in the interests of keeping you up to date on MLP in academia, this is a sociology course being offered in fall. It is exactly the sort of course I would teach, if it weren't for dealing with my students boring papers. I'm much more interested in the high academic pursuits of writing for Abercrombie & Fitch.
It is an experimental art piece because the person used human shapes to convey meaning. Wow!
I love a good dialogue only story. And Sam Beckett's Godot is my favorite play in the world. And I agree with you. And sometimes I feel disappointed in the educational level here too.
