MLP Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks Extended Synopsis First impressions · 2:05pm Jul 16th, 2014

So, after Hasbro released the 8 Rainbow Rocks shorts I expected a true trailer would be shown by now. That hasn't happened yet, but I predict we will see one at Comic Con later this month. However, they didn't leave us hanging because last night they released an extended synopsis with a pretty good plot summary. Now, I am here to say my thoughts.

So, I am going to say parts i liked about it, and parts I may be concerned.

1.The villians
According to this synopsis, the villains are three girls led by this girl Adagio Dazzle.

Apparently, they change the calm musical talent show, to a hard core battle of the bands! Now, that thing is a high school trope but really the only one found in the synopsis which I am fine with. Looking at their pony forms from their dolls it seems like they are either a unique type of pegasi or a unique breed of pony all together. I just hope they are something really interesting and cool, or they maybe be Changlings. Who knows? Hopefully they will be better villains than Sunset from the First Movie. Speaking of her....

2.Sunset Shimmer
Yes! I am happy that she is at least confirmed to be in the movie! You don't know how much Joy that gives me! Anyways, looking at concept art from the toy line she seems to have a change in clothing which I don't mind because her tough girl original look doesn't really suit the reformed character she is now.

I especially like the leggings. This maybe the only EQG doll I purchase.

Anyways, it says that she is the one who suspects the Dazzlings not being normal humans, so I am happy she is at least part of the plot, and the EQG tv show I hope that she is the main character.

3.Twilight's Return.

I am happy that she is coming back because you know more adorable moments from her, and their reason seems pretty legit to me. And she is the Princess of Friendship so of course she has to help. I also think that she will only be in about half of the movie, so the focus won't be on her, but the EQG main 5 which is really cool. And if Spike comes too (judging by the shorts I'd say so) then that means more Awesome Spike moments! I am super hyped for this movie now.

So I am worried about the villains, and if Flash Sentry will have any relevance again, but if he doesn't say much and maybe blushes at Twi then i would be ok with it.
I just hope that everything comes together, and make this movie even better than the first one. I also hope that the Dazzlings VA's are good, but mlp hasn't let me down just yet. :)
