Why the thanks for a fave?

Well, I was just receiving a new "Social Notification" which was essentially a "Thanks for the fav".

But I ask myself... why do I get something like this? I mean I just clicked a Button to better Track Stories. Granted, some not so good stories I wanna follow are landing on my Read Later Pile, but I think it is hardly something really thankworthy to hit the Favourite Button.

Also, as it stand, Questions like: "What made you fave my Story?", "What did you like best?" and so on, those are higly appreciated and I will do my best to answer truthfully.

Just something that crossed my Mind lately.

You can add things to your watch list these days without favoriting them, so favoriting them is special.
