Animal crossing problems

I have animal crossing new leaf, I started a second account on my game, it quickly become my main account, so when I went to delete my first account, I found out that if I wanted to get rid of the account I would have to rebuild the town! But I like all my villagers and I like my town! Can't I just make my other account mayor and move out? Augh!

I was told that if you have a hard dissension to make go heads and tails whichever one it lands on if it lands on (let's say) heads and you feel disappointed then do what was on tails (or the other side).
