The beauty of thought. The infinity there. Nowhere is as near as I to anywhere. Everywhere is the same from some point in thought and the same point is in some thought from everywhere. ~ Sun Ra

    Happy new year!

Happy new year to all of you! I hope it'll be a great time for all. And it's 2015. Hurray for all those who like round numbers! Only five years to wait for the beautiful number of 2020 :rainbowkiss:

Besides that, some of you might be wondering why I haven't published anything for months. So if you're wondering: no, I'm not dead yet and I'm not done with my stories.

May the farce be with you

I've got a question for my readers, just skip to the last paragraph if you don't want to read this whole alcohol-induced rant.

So, I just forced myself to watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. It's something I decided I'd do since I heard about it, but always left for later.

    A little update

The last month or so has been moderately productive. The next chapter for Visiting Hours is about 90% done. I should be able to have the first part published either today or tomorrow and the second half along the week. Yay!

And that's not all, since I also have a chapter for that one clop story I write that's almost done, too.

I have no title for this blog post. · 11:34pm May 16th, 2014

I think I'll never understand how some writers can make several books a year. Of course, I have a job so I only have a few hours a day to write, but even if I had nothing else to do, I'd probably spend most of it not writing.

Over the last two months I've hardly written anything. I didn't feel like it. That's all.
Sometimes, I'll get in front of my computer, open one of my many ongoing drafts, stare at it for a moment, give up and do something else. Usually I don't even try.

I'm still not sure why I do that. I like writing. I have fun coming up with characters and stories, I have fun finding interesting ways to word my sentences and when I manage to finish a story or a chapter, I look back at it and tell myself "I did it!"

I think that sometimes I'm afraid, because I can't write my stories as well as I would like to. I don't know if I can be called a perfectionist, but I tend to set standards so high that I can't keep up with them sometimes...

Anyways, I managed to write these last few days. I've just finished a 10k word draft in under a week. If only I could write like that all the time, I'd be satisfied. Also, I'd be happier if that draft wasn't some clop story, but that was the only thing I've been able to work on for some reason... That's a story I started a long time ago thinking "what the hell, let's try writing porn and see what happens." I was just having fun and never really expected to continue or even publish it, but now it's gotten biggish... I doubt it's any good, but I guess I'll give that thing a final lookover and publish it tomorrow (if I can decide on a title).

I want to apologize to all those who are waiting for an update on one of my "real" stories. I'll try to get back into these as best as I can. Maybe the hiatus between seasons of the show will actually make me write more. With the canon temporarily fixed and the pony withdrawal, I might get more motivated. Let's hope...

As always, thanks for reading, friends. See ya'll soon.

In completely unrelated news, I just watched The Amazing Spider Man 2...and it was actually GOOD!
They really took the time to flesh out their villains more, explained more of the backstory with Peter's parents, and gave us some really BIG teasers for potential upcoming sequels!

A huge leap from the 3rd Spider Man movie which did the opposite of the new revamped movie series Amazing Spider Man movies, and the writers seemed to have listened this time to fan feedback as far as the issues that dragged the first Amazing Spider Man movie down, leaving a lot of us feeling sort of underwhelmed. Good movie, but nothing really happens till the very very end.

They have taken some liberties with the new ASM movies far as plot goes. I think that's a good thing personally, at least now that I can see where they wanted to go with it with this new release.

All that 'unrelated' stuff said, it's GOOD to experiment. Staying inside the box all the time can get a bit moldy. You've done a good job at being professional as you can with your stories, and while Cloudsdale chapter of one of them played like a documentary, it had its purpose: Not many stories have been known to go into that much detail into what goes on and what's in Cloudsdale.

But wow, can you WRITE. 10k chapters aren't easy to digest by many, infact it has caused a lot of bigger stories to sort of get burnt out trying to stay consistent. But if you LOVE writing, that doesn't seem too much of an issue I guess. But as I tell many 'perfectionistas' out there, y'all need ta learn ta let loose and have a few diddies you can just plain ol' have FUN with. :P

So write that clop, do that random comedy, write that story with no happy ending, write a Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon story that goes beyond the utter laziness of the fandom that goes beyond the cliche's like Bootsyslickmane, Mattricole, and Mudpony, to name a few!

Just write whatever little thing and however small you want it to be, learn to let loose as Bootsy did. Don't worry too much about Mrs. Harshwhinny looking over your shoulder. Just do something outside your comfort zone and see what you CAN do within say, 30 minutes to an hour MAX and see if that doesn't make you feel a little bit better about writing more.

But yeah, with life only handing you like 3 hours to do what you WANT to do, I can totally understand and relate to limitations, a lot of things I was helping out with got put on the back burner and have hardly kept in touch with others I used to converse with on a near daily basis.

So many options, so little time!

And I'm one of those who hates being indoors, though I normally get saddled with all the house work. Though that can't be helped due to others going for special training and another who is under an apprenticeship for restaurant cook and banquet preparations. I'm not too clear on the details but I don't mind doing the, ironically, all the cooking and cleaning I suppose. Being partially disabled doesn't leave me with many options in life anyways.

Anyhow, been meaning to bug ya for the past couple weeks now to see if you were still with us! Nice to see you still are. Well, got to go for now but do hope to not vanish on you as I think I did last time, not sure but still feel like I did since I also had more to say to which I totally forgot. ANYWHOOZLES, take care!

TL;DR: TYPE MORE PONY WORDS! If you aren't feeling it, it means you're holding yourself back on what you REALLY want to write about! Try stuff you haven't yet!
