I made a goal this year to sit down and write something every day, and so far I've succeeded, but my output has been relatively low. I want to pick up the pace, so this month I'm going to push myself to write a complete mini-story every weekday (starting yesterday), then edit my favorites on the weekends. They won't all be pony stories, and they won't all be good enough to edit to completion, but hopefully a nice handful of them will be both and I'll be sure to post those here when they're done. The real point of this post, though, is to ask you good people for your help. If I'm going to write a mini-story every day, I'm going to need a whole lot of prompts, so here's my request to you: if you have any simple writing prompts that you've found useful in your writing or you just have an idea that you'd like to see me tackle, comment with your prompts and story-starters below! If I use your prompt, I'll be sure to give you credit for the inspiration. Thanks in advance for helping me get my flank in gear and kick my daily writing up to the next level. Geronimo!
Hmm.. Here's my five minute idea spill. They're mostly Pony related since that's my mindset when I'm on fimfiction
- Pinkie likes all types of candy. All except one.
- Where did Rarity get her accent?
- Something (friendly) goes bump in the night
- Scootaloo has to apologize to Rainbow Dash
- Spike (momentarily) looses a library book
- A day in the life of a pet
- A failed first date, but not the last
- one of the CMC lost in Manehatten
I believe there are some email subscriptions out there that will send you a daily prompt, I can't recall any at the moment though. Just keep writing, and good luck!
