Well. That does it. No putting it off any longer. I'm PUSHIN DA BUTTON.
Are there changes that could be made still? Oh, sure. But they'd all be little tweaks, a word change here, a clarification there. It's not like they'd change anything substantial, they can't change what happens or anything. That being: Celestia and Luna go flying. Celestia still has guilt. They don't connect. And this is internet publishing: I can go make those changes after publishing.
Glad to have that over, though. I mean, I've done it once before, but that wasn't for anything, y'know, important-like. Just a lil' piece of trash. This is something real. Even if I'm still waffling over the [Tragedy] tag.
So anyways, watch for flight to hit your feed sometime in the kinda near future.
Oh, Quill:
- I found four "really"s; two you thought were good and I nuked a third, but couldn't figure a way to ditch the fourth. Ideas would be welcome.
- I've got a goofy idea I may yet go with, but you'd be a deciding factor. Retronym or themeing?
Huwha? Have I been neglecting something important? I don't understand this "retronym or theming" question.
I do remember the reallies, at least. I'll take a look and perhaps PM you suggestions.

No-one knows anything about the "retronym or themeing" thing. This is the first I've said anything about it. Retronym is a constructed word. You being a special case--the only one it applies to, in my usage--you may chose: get a retronym, or fit the theme naming. Spoiler:Sterling Engine and Phantom Philosopher don't know anything about this either.

What a puzzle! What a question! It is an etymological mystery. The word may be one you constructed and have only ever applied to me, but you didn't construct it from the void. I feel like I should know what you mean. You've as much as said that you aren't using the standard meaning. Which means, for a valid etymology, a retronym would be a term relating to words and the past...
The hardest part about this is that I want to say, "retronym," just to find out what you're plotting with it, yet I feel I must say, "fit the theme naming," because that's part of writing in Equestrian colors.
(The reallies are fine.)

Oh derp. Words. I was not thinking of the likes of "homonym" when I constructed that; though, "nym" in that case does mean the same as what I meant by it, much as it does in "pseudonym".
The spoiler is a clue. It may be deleted.

Oh no, it's no derp. When I saw "retronym" I immediately started thinking, "Is that more like patronym, or more like synonym?" I guess the answer is that it was more like patronym. The -nym suffix seems to apply equally to names and words.
Theme naming is a pretty big thing in Equestria, so if you're naming a character after me, it's probably best to keep to theme naming.

Wait, what are you...
No no no. Not going to--- although that could make for an interesting throwaway idea for something else entirely--- but no. No characters.
Maybe, I should have said DrillCat and Sterling Engine, and not mentioned Phantom Philosopher? Not that that helps you with your decision, but might be slightly clearer what I'm referring to.

You have the best answer I can give at this point. I'm sorry if it's inadequate.
