"A Burning Phoenix"
Tomorrow the Wonderbolts and the Marines will finally start their first offensive, an assault on Waylay Island to secure a staging ground- and remove the same for the Griffons.
Flash Sentry will be done there, with the rest of the grunts in the assault while his friend has to take on his first duty away from him.
Nopony expects the horror of what follows, and the sheer ferocity of the enemy. They refuse to surrender, yield not a single inch, and easily slap aside the first assault.
The Marines cannot stop even so, no matter the cost, and thus begins the Battle of Waylay Island. The Griffons are not the only enemy they have out there either, as events in Equestria rapidly engulf the leadership.
A phoenix burns.
