Worldbuilding Entry 1.5: the magic of species (Introduction)

In the last post I talked a little about the magic used by a particular species, hounds, in my world building. In retrospect that may of been a bit premature, so I think I should backtrack a bit and give a brief overview of the types of magic available before discussing how the different species use then or don’t in some cases. I hope this isn’t too incoherent and rambly.

Worldbuilding Entry 2: the Magic of Species (Hounds)

    So I made a little head way with some ideas I had for magic used by the canide species that populate the setting I am trying to make. Here it is;

The potential magic of the Hound Species

    Eighth post

I am trying to make it a habit to post more. Both in this blog and around forums. I think its high time I hung up my lurker badge and be a poster. So even posts like this one, which I'd of brushed off as inconsequntial and thus never post it, are going to see the light of day.

If a total of eight posts in about three years is any indication, I am a very "reserved" person.

    Seventh post: Carnivore Requim

In a prior post I talked about the polarising nature of species that I have taken note of in a lot of fan work I’ve managed to get round to reading, especially with regard to the herbivore/carnivore divide. I also note that the issue of species is recognised really only in the context of a wider conflict or tension

I am still alive. Not in the best mindset or circumstances, but I am still here. I won't trouble you with the details.

Second Post · 6:55am Mar 28th, 2014

Well its been several months of inactivity, and I am back. I didn't really go anywhere though. I just didn't have the nerve to post anything, so I just stuck to lurking.
But that changes today. I've just asked to start up a new thread in the World Building Alliance Group, its about Wolves as a possible intelligent race in the world of Equestria. Honestly I am pretty nervous about it, not that I am expecting to be heckeled or trolled or what have you! This fandom is better than that, I am mostly afriad that my current streak will hold up. That streak being when I post something in a thread I seem to just kill the conversation. Last thread I posted in was back in october and I am the last post. Needless to say it doesn't do my self confidence any favors. Bah, I know its just coincidence but I am paranoid. It doesn't help that the other group I am in is pretty much dead... and my post is the most recent one.

Anyway, I didn't just want to try blogging, I came here for a specific reason; To try uploading an image. I'd like to use a few pictures for the thread, but I am very much a novice with this forum stuff. I've set up a Derpibooru account and uploaded a test image to that site, so hopefully I can now upload it here to test it. If it works I think I'll be good to go, then all I need to do is continue uploading the needed pics and then post them in the thread. That should encourage interest in the thread, hopefully.
So here goes:

Okay I see the html text, and I did copy the url. Don't see the actual image now but hopefully when I publish this entry it will be visible.
Ah, the preveiw button! Lets see...
Success!
There we go, a sketch I did on Twilight. Hope its nice. Pretty big though... but at least its under 1mb.
Okay now that I know images on derpibooru can be uploaded I think I can get started on that thread now.

Hopefully this social adventure won't end in disater for me.
