How Silver Thread Got Her Cutie Mark

Or, in truth...the defining moment in my past, that started me on the path to who I am now. But, as many humans do...I only got mine once I realized its significance, long into adulthood.

It all started in high school.

A time many remember nostalgically, but honestly, I'm just glad I survived it. That's the whole point, as Hard Harry would say.

Where does the hushed hoof fall?

The past few years have been...they've been.

I am currently still trying to better myself emotionally, and I can (for the 2nd time) assure the doctor that no, doubling up the medication does not help, it only ruins my life. I love it when doctors don't trust me. It's beautiful to feel a personality-changing fight-or-flight response.

Roseluck name resembles an old, witty poem...

Of all the poets, it is Dorothy Parker who inspires me most. Her wit, her sarcasm, all bleeds beautifully into her poetry.

And Roseluck's name happens to resemble a specific poem...

    ---

    One Perfect Rose

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met.
    All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet -
    One perfect rose.

    Applejack's Past

    So...this episode had a very out-of-character Applejack.

Since it is now...semi-canon (seeing as so much this season has been SO CONFLICTING; like snowflake), we need reasons.

I say? Applejack had something happen the first time she was left alone, or left someone alone in the past.

Go with that where you want.

    Painful reading materials

You may have encountered it before --- the story starts. You get curious what'll happen. But the story's quality? Painful.

I happened upon an extremely painful story. It started alright. It's just been getting worse. Every new chapter is worse. Suddenly, there's no commas. No details. Pacing is gone, characters aren't in character...

Just Tired. · 4:43am Feb 18th, 2014

I think a good portion of why I can't tolerate the thought of writing is my lack of free time in general. Any day I work, I have none. Yes, I only work about 20 to 30 hours a week (recently only 15 to 20), but I take 2 buses to work and 2 back. In total, travel time one way is 2 hours, the way home is the same.

I'm trying to transfer to a nearby store, but it's...you know how sometimes you can do everything spectacular and yet you're the least favorite person in your manager's eyes? That's me right now. For the new manager at the store, too. One didn't like me and things spread, now I'm feeling singled-out. The only reason I tolerated wasting 8 hours on a 4-hour work day, or up to 14 on a 10-hour, was because I used to have a manager who treated me with respect. Without respect, one cannot work well with others.

Because of my whole "4 hour day is 8 hours" thing, I've never had free time, and my days off are generally spent catching up on sleep and chores. I'm part-time, so my schedule is all over the board. I'm so exhausted. I can't get things done I need to do BECAUSE of my job now. The earliest my shifts ever start are 9, so I'd get out generally around 2...and get home by 4. I need to do some things that require me be there before 4:30, like fill out forms, etc. It's not reasonable to get there with barely any time remaining.

So right now, work is my writer's block...and my life's block.

Um, if it's okay with you... here's some advice.
I recommend that during your breaks at work, use that as a time to brainstorm for your writing. You can do the same while you're on the bus as well. When you reach home, I recommend that you take a half hour break. After doing so, spend the next hour(s) focusing on at least one chore/task a day (put the important ones first). Finally, after doing so. I recommend that you take another half hour break. Then, focus on writing until maybe nine or ten in the evening... with a few small breaks in between of course (If you like.). Then go to sleep, and repeat the cycle again in the morning... If you disagree, don't hesitate in telling me.
I'm sorry that this has to happen to you.:fluttershysad:
But no matter what, stay strong, keep your head high, do your best, and believe in yourself. Don't let the struggles hold you down.
