Journal Entry - 1: This Title is Only Vaguley Related to the Contents of This Post

I've decided that in order to help me focus my thoughts, I should begin a catalogue of my experiences and impressions as I explore this site and become acquainted with the community, and to mark how my mind and outlook may change with time.
I'm also doing this to get me used to writing again. I haven't done it in so long that I am entirely unsure how the voice in my head sounds or how to make it concise when I define it externally, like on paper. Or pixels. Remember to bring an umbrella and hazmat gear, or risk exposure to lethal internal monologue levels.
