    Eleven Years...

Eleven years ago at the time I begin to type this post, the series finale of Sonic X premiered and put another anime to closing. As I sit here and type these words I have only just completed watching the final four episodes, and as a result of unable to make it past the first part of the final episode my tears stream down my face and hit my keyboard.

A Semi-Formal Introduction · 1:05am Feb 14th, 2014

I'd like to take a moment to say hello to the Brony community here at FIM Fiction, and introduce myself to a certain degree, hence the title.

My name is Jesus Manson, and I am very new to the My Little Pony fandom. I first began getting into the series last November, but I intend to explain how it happened through a different online outlet. Now the main reason I'm making this blog is to address those who read this with questions regarding a certain topic.

You see, this isn't the first time something such as MLP has caught my attention like this, having equal my love for my musical tastes and closely starting to rival with a personal favorite saga of another series. This other series is one I've loved since first watching it, and I've written a fictional series based on it for the last few years. MLP has made me so intrigued that I have taken a break from my main project and began writing a special crossover that works with a familiar franchise pairing, and I wanted to ask those of the literary creators in the fandom about how to approach.

If I were to post my story here, it would contain elements that derive from the canon of my main project, which might throw readers off. Would it be better to post it in its entirety, or eliminate the unfamiliar elements that derive from my headcanon so that it strictly remains within the parameters of the general MLP canon? Would it be safe to just give a short excerpt of what the story contains and watch for reactions before I would begin posting the series in its entirety? If instead I posted it on a different outlet and shared the link, sharing the link towards it here on FIM Fiction, would that be the best way to go?

I ask this because I don't want to just throw my hat in the ring with my headcanons that wouldn't be explained unless readers would have to go search for where the story is based from. I've read several stories around here and have enjoyed so many of them, including some labeled as crossovers, but I don't think my story would be as understandable so easily. Before taking any action, I would like to hear from the community with any suggestions you could give a newcomer such as myself. This story is a series of chapters that right now has a set length to contain the entire plot and events I have thought of, but it is still flexible enough for me to expand with a couple more chapters, which I've already done once.

I don't want to give out any details of the story because I think it would be best understood when read, and because I'm not one to give spoilers unless it's done mildly in one of my stories. Truth be told, it's a part of my exploration in what has become a most interesting world to explore through, but as mentioned earlier, that will be further explained once I have the means to address everything publicly through different means.

In closing, if anyone is willing to help me with some advice or suggestions of what's the best way to approach this matter, it would be very much appreciated and I would enjoy hearing whatever is willing to be said. Being new to this, I wanted to take this precaution to make sure I make a new introduction here that would be more appealing to the Brony community rather than be a shot out of the dark. It seems weird to ask this, I suppose, but I believe it's also necessary. I hope to hear some helpful suggestions for anyone soon, and to hopefully see my own story of Twilight Sparkle and her friends that meet some very special people in a way that I'd like to think hasn't been seen before.
