I Have Not yet Begun!!!

So I feel it's confession time. I only started Carnivore as a means to break my Writers Block on my much bigger project. Which is why the time between updates has been getting longer. I'll have the next chapter up in three or four more days after my proofreader Graphite Sketch has a look at it it. But odds are the next chapter will take a while as i am now filled with Idea's for my main Arc.

I don't want you to worry I have no intention of letting Carnivore die but it is a teeny tiny piece of a much, MUCH larger whole.

I don't want you to feel cheated in some way so here is a little preview. It's not been proofread or edited yet so don't get to picky.

Scootaloo fluttered off leaving Applejack to lead the stallion towards the barn. She saw that the Crusaders were galloping towards her and that Rainbow Dash and Big Mac were also waiting for her at the barn. She turned to give some encouragement to the blue maned pony but could only stare, his whole body was shuddering. He started to topple over but Applejack managed to catch him. "Oohmph! Big Mac! Git over here! Sweet Celestia he's heavy!" The farm mare could already feel her legs starting to give out.

"Ayup." The red work horse managed to get the collapsed stallion on his back, but he was still shuddering violently.
While Macintosh was able to get his cargo to the barn. Even he was starting to feel the trembling stallions weight. And pushed him onto a pile of loose straw.
Applebloom brought him a bucket of water,"Here drink this." Pushing it in front of his muzzle.

He looked up at her with glazed half lidded eyes and gave a weak smile. "Thank you." He brought a shaky hoof up to hold the bucket as he plunged his face into the cool water. He gulped down the soothing liquid and in seconds the bucket was empty. He didn't even bother to pull off the bucket, instead tipping it as he laid his head down. The gathering of ponies heard a muffled but contented sigh," Much better."

Applebloom nudged Scootaloo,"Did ya see his cutie mark?" She asked in a whisper. "It's pretty cool, wonder wut it means?"
Scootaloo actually hadn't noticed, she was a bit depressed because her trip into the Everfree was going to have to be postponed. But she looked at the strangers cutie mark and had to admit she was curious as to what sort of talent it could represent. Astrology? It didn't explain the blue lightningbolt. 'Guess I'll just ask him once he's feeling better.' Applejack and Sweetie Belle totted up to him. The she had a first aid kit, while the young unicorn carried two more buckets in the emerald grasp of her magic.

His tremors had subsided and Applejack reached out and tapped the bucket that his face was still in. He lifted his head letting the water bucket fall away. "Feelin any better?" He smiled and gave a small nod. "Good then lets get the blood outta yur coat and those cut o' yurs cleaned up!"
He turned to look the orange pony in the eye,"Thank you so much miss. I hope I'm not... What? Is something wrong ma'am?" She had gone bug eyed and was just staring at him. He couldn't quite place the expression she was making at him was it surprise or some form of fear?

"Sis? Ya okay?" A young light orange pony with a red mane and tail trotted over giving the older mare a concerned look. She waved a hoof in her sisters face, when that failed to even make her blink, she turned to look at him. Her expression quickly morphed to one of confusion,"What the hay?"

He frowned," What!? Is something wrong with my face?" He looked at the other ponies in the barn. They all wore puzzled expressions. Then he turned to the last pony, the one with the rainbow colored mane. She wore a stern expression, like one of a mother scolding her child. As his eyes settled on her, she took several steps back, her face twisting into a scowl. At this he raised an eyebrow," Just whats got you all so spooked!?"

"Your eyes." The white unicorn said in a high sweet voice. She took a few steps closer.

He brought a hoof to his face and covered an eye with it, as though doing so would let him see what she meant. "My eyes? What do you mean? Is something wrong with them!?" He jerked his hoof away and cast a worried look around the barn.

"Well not wrong." Replied the high voiced unicorn. "Just different. I've never seen somepony with dragon eyes before."

He opened his mouth to speak when the dark orange pony flared her wings and fluttered over to him. "I wouldn't say dragon eyes." She said leaning in until she was inches from his face," The shape isn't right for a dragon. See how the pupil sorta swoops out to a point in the middle? Spikes eyes weren't like that." He frowned at the pegasus as he gently pushed her away from him with one hoof. It was easier than he thought it would be, as it turned out she was hoovering in the air. The older rainbow maned pegasus bristled as he pushed the younger pony back.

He ignored the venomous look she gave him. "Listen I really don't know what your talking about. Or even where I am really." He scanned all the ponies in the barn, the rainbow maned pegasus was still glaring at him, The older orange one had regained her wits but was still giving him a look he couldn't put a name too. The three young ponies looked confused but, at least they were smiling that was something. The only other pony was a very large red one who's expression was stoic, whatever his feeling were he wasn't sharing them.

"Just who are you!" The rainbow maned pegasus snapped. It felt as though she poured a great deal of her anger into those words. It felt as though she were accusing him of a crime. His ears drooped and the eyes that seemed to put them all on edge fell to the barns wooden floor. He didn't have an answer for her. It was obvious to him now that everything before the forest was hidden behind the fog in his mind.

He sighed and looked back at her," I wish I knew."

Applejack gaped at his words," Wut!? Ya mean ya don' even know yur own name!?" He glanced at her and slowly shook his head. As his eyes flicked in her direction, his angular diamond shaped pupils were replaced by a creepy greenish glow. The eye-shine had only lasted a split second but the farm mare still felt a chill run up her spine. 'Dag'nabbit Applejack! Creepy eyes don' make him ah monster! "Is there anythin' ya do remember?" He closed his eyes and he furrowed his brow a deep frown on his muzzle. He stayed like that for almost a minute before pressed a hoof to the side his head. He looked at her and with a sad expression and just shook his head.

"Hey AJ!" She turned to see Rainbow dash looking at her. The cyan mare motioned for her to follow and walked out of the barn.

Applejack turned back towards the stallion with the odd eyes," 'Scuse me." and trotted after her friend.

Scootaloo watched Apple jack leave the barn,' Why is Rainbow Dash acting like this? I've never seen her so angry.' She turned to look at the huge stallion again, she thought he looked kinda cool herself. His odd eyes had surprised her more than anything but Dash was absolutely furious. Sweetie Belle was starting to clean off his fur and Applebloom grabbed another rag to help her friend. Scootaloo's curiosity was running in overdrive," So if you don't know your name what do we call you?"
He fixed his eyes on her,"I don't know really."

"Well ya gotta have ah name!" Applebloom said smiling up at him. "Right, Big Mac?"

"Ayup." The red stallion gave his usual response.
