Because almost all of my stories will involve humans and ponies interacting in some way shape or form, I figured I'd post a blog which explains some of the nations that will play in the stories. We already talked about the United Terran Federation, but here are some other nations:
The United States of Karelia- the main nation that will often play the biggest role especially if their is some kind of war. Obviously, it is modeled after the good ole USA (although I named it after a province of Finland). Just to avoid confusion, the USK is often called the "United States" by many characters.
The United Kingdom of Britannia- a small island nation which has the second most political and economic impact on the world next to the USK. Again, obviously, the Kingdom of Britannia is modeled after the UK, more specifically England.
The Fifth Romancia Republic. A nation which borders Belkan and is a neighbor of Britannia. It has a relatively fair social relationship with the pony nations. It is modeled after France.
The Republic of Esperanto- a nation which borders Romancia and tends to play a neutral role in world affairs unless it benefits their own interest. It is modeled after real world Spain.
The Dutchy of Norwaengern- a small, but fairly strong nation in the MLP Earth's northern arctic circle. It is modeled after Norway, with some elements of the Dutch Empire.
The Federal Republic of Belkan- Okay this nation isn't mine. The Federal Republic of Belkan is a nation in the Ace Combat series which is based on the country of Germany. Here. Still, I liked the idea of having a Germany based country in my story so I added them.
The United Socialist Republic of Tiberia- technically this nation was dissolved, but it will play a role in future stories and be mentioned by some characters. It was a communist country modeled after the old Soviet Union and was in a state of Cold War with the USK and the other nations for over forty years. However, it's economy collapsed and it was dissolved.
The Tiberian Federation- the successor state of of the USRT. Basically it's similar to real world Russia.
The Republic of Krysistan- a small nation which borders right in between Tiberia and Belkan. It is based on real world Poland.
the Empire of Oceania- While not technically an empire anymore, it is a constitutional monarch island nation is the pacific ocean. In the 1940's it was at a state of war with the USK although now, they are good friends. Based on the real world nation of Japan.
The Federal Republic of South Oessia. A small country located in the Oessian peninsula which borders the Zebra continent. The country's population is mostly composed of humans and anthro animals and is in a constant state of Cold War with its neighbor North Oessian and the PRZ. Obviously, South Oessia is based on South Korea.
The People's Republic of Zebra- technically it is not a human nation but it will play a big role so I'm gonna include it. It is the largest and most heavily populated zebra nation in the MLP/human world. It is led by a single party communist government and it has much authority over it's zebra citizens. While they are on good terms now, the PRZ has a rocky relationship with the human nations, more specifically, the USK.
The Allied States of Espano- a poor developing country which borders the USK. Based off of real world Mexico.
The Kingdom of Hazul Bahrab- a large developing nation located in the Middle Eastern part of the human world. It is ruled by an absolute monarchy (although they do have an elected prime minister) who is very religious and rules his people with an iron fist. The country is full of poverty and is only kept fed because of it's rich oil wells. It is modeled after several Middle Eastern countries more specifically Saudi Arabia.
The Republic of Azarael- a small nation which border Hazul Bahrab. While Azarael is smaller than it's neighbor, it is much richer and has a better equipped military. The two nations despise each other due to a variety of political and religious differences. It is modeled after the real world State of Israel.
Those are a lot of nations. And UTF is the name of my government as well.
How about a human nation called the Terran Republic? An off shoot from the UTF.
It's very similar to MY UTF.
The economy is something like a mixed economy with all enterprises run by workers with a for profit objective, but is still Marxist in the sense that it is pro worker and anti bourgeois. Welfare state and high taxes a plenty.
Civil rights are exemplary, but it the nation is a semi police state where law enforcement is relentless.
The nation is also a technocracy, meaning that their biggest concern is technological advancement, for the good of all mankind. It's also utilitarian, so the ends justify the means to this nation. Its people are avowedly atheist and anti royalty. Won't go well with Canterlot.
So yeah, a left wing paradise. The soldiers have gas masks as their signature trait and are resarching into gauss weapons.

1924649 Well I named Japan after Oceania, which in real life is actually an island chain continent which composes of Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, and several other small island nations.
