I know it's been quite some time since an update to the story. But alas my writing spree has been thus drained.
I have some of the next chapter written, but I'm taking a bit of a break so as to avoid killing all my inspiration.
I suppose I'll have to attribute some of that to the fact that I tried once more, for the final time to submit Lunar Apprehension to Equestria Daily.
It was turned down yet again.
It would seem my lack of correct terminology and various writing inexperiences did not merit it a position there.
I do not plan to attempt it again, as I would have to re-write the entire series. And I will not attempt such a feat ever again.
Until the next chapter, I'll be taking a break to play me some Firefall, which I managed to get in on the Beta. :D

Mm, well, they are a rather horrible bunch of people. This may not be an HiE fic, but they've been known (I actually had someone tell me this a little earlier) to deny HiE fics just because they're HiE fics, no matter how good they are.

Not sure how to respond to that one, since I kinda understand where they're coming from.
By far, the vast majority of HiE fics are just some prepubescent kid's wet-dream about ponies and crap. There's so many that weeding through them has to possibly be the most mundane and repetitive task they have.
That aside, I think the fandom isn't very friendly to HiE writers in general either. And the ones that don't like those stories are very vocal about it. They may be trying to avoid having an incessant flamewar on EQD.

True enough, I suppose. I don't really have an argument against that. And yeah, a lot of HiE fics are crap, but what about the ones that are actually good? That's just my point there.
