Freakshow Improv Is A Terrible Pony And Wants To Apologize · 8:11am May 10th, 2012
Hey, readers.
First off, I want to apologize to everyone who's been waiting with bated breath for chapter 2 of Hiccups Are Magic.
I even want to apologize to the people who hit favorite and then immediately forgot about it.
The fic is not dead. I meant to have the second chapter out long ago, but stuff has just been getting in the way left and right. I swear, it's like my life waited until I had already published the first chapter of my crappy fanfic to get crazy.
If it sounds like I'm just making excuses... yeah, I kind of am. There's pretty much no reason that I shouldn't have had chapter 2 out by now, and I'm sorry for that. I'm not going to give any kind of timeframe, but just know that I'm still very, very slowly making progress on it.
I've learned some very important lessons here:
1. When I write another story after HAM, I'll wait until I have more content before I publish. I write slowly even when I'm not busy, so I should really plan better around that.
2. I won't give timeframes for release on stuff unless I'm absolutely sure. It just gets people's hopes up and just begs for delays.
3. Maybe start sacrificing stuff to Luna for luck/inspiration? It's worth a try.
I also had over a thousand words of me musing on shipping and grimdark here, but then I realized that no one would want to read that. And if you do... let me know and maybe I'll post it sometime? The apology was the important part of this post anyway.
HAM got more favorites in the first hour than I expected it would get over it's entire run, so thanks, you guys are the best.
