After watching Rainbow Falls, I noticed a pattern in the keys- or, at least, relevant to the keys. I would love to share my theory, but I'm not sure how long the pattern will hold. Well, I'll just get it out, and if things change, then I take it all back.
So, I assume you know what I mean by the keys, right? The rainbow thread given to Rarity by Coco Pamela and the Wonderbolt pin given to Rainbow Dash by Spitfire? Well, did you notice that both of these presumed keys were given to a member of the Mane Six as a gift? And did you notice that the pony who made the gift played some measure of an antagonistic role during the episode and then was reconciled at the end? I think there may be some connection, but I'm not sure yet. I'd like to wait until the next key is revealed until I take this further.
