Excuses, a pointless rant, updates and future possibilities all in one massive post!

So like I said I am sorry that this took so long and that it is so long. My friend, the same one that got me into MLP, fanfics and anime, is an amazing editor. If you have read my earlier chapters you know that I am mediocre at best at editing my own work. I am used to writing good research papers not stories so the different dynamics of description, characters, dialogue and conflict add a

My Top 25 Favorite Brony Musicians/Artists

One part of the fandom that I have been enthralled by since the beginning is the music. It took me until Winter Wrap Up to truly appreciate the style and creativity that is ingrained in the music of MLP: FIM. Daniel Ingram and the rest of the musical crew really knows how and when to make a beautifully orchestrated song that makes the fandom go berserk. Winter Wrap Up, This Day Aria, Love is

Chapter 4 delay and future problems

First off I must apologize for the massive delay in the release of chapter 4. Originally it was going to connect all the main characters but instead I focused on Soot and made the chapter a reasonable size while setting up the meeting. I actually had the chapter written before school started 8 weeks ago. I unfortunately did not have time to edit it or get my friend to edit it. As a result

My fanfic reviews worst to best

I became a brony in October 2012 and since then I have read numerous fanfics. This post is a list and review of the fanfics I've read ranging from worst to best on of 1-10 scale. These reviews are based solely on my opinion and observations, feel free to comment and disagree. Also a warning, minor spoilers may be in some reviews but I will attempt to stay away from anything too revealing.

My Top 25 Favorite Brony Musicians/Artists · 1:25am Jan 7th, 2014

One part of the fandom that I have been enthralled by since the beginning is the music. It took me until Winter Wrap Up to truly appreciate the style and creativity that is ingrained in the music of MLP: FIM. Daniel Ingram and the rest of the musical crew really knows how and when to make a beautifully orchestrated song that makes the fandom go berserk. Winter Wrap Up, This Day Aria, Love is in Bloom, Helping Twilight Win the Crown and many more songs have been defining in the growth of MLP. Yet the amazing creativity and talent doesn't stop with the show, leave it to our amazing fandom and our overly talented members. I got into Dash Step (Which is what me and friends call Brony music of any genre) very early on. It was about a week after I had watched the show in it's entirety (took about 3 days once I got addicted) that I discovered fan made music. Since then I have listened to well over 50 different artists and several hundred songs, possibly near a thousand. Out of those I have subscribed to more than 30 artists and have downloaded over 200 songs. This is my personal favorite brony artists based on sheer talent, amount of good songs, lyrics, music and the work and passion they put into their art. Now I like more brony artists than these 25 and like songs from a wide range but these are the most prominent artists in my playlist. I am a huge classic rock fan and I have a disdain for hip hop, rap and modern pop but this style of music has bridged the genre gap for me.
I will list my top 25 artists in descending order with a brief summary and list of impactful songs. It's not a review so no score and every one of these artists are very deserving of their spots. I will link their YouTube channels with their summaries. Also all of these songs are leagues better with good headphones to give a clear and crisp sound that gives details otherwise missed. Some songs, to understand their greatness, require some form of good speakers. I am not much of a musician, just a fan who loves music and appreciates these artists' talent so bare with me. i'm not good with musical terminology and I may be redundant with wording because every spot is positive and somewhat similar unlike my fanfic reviews.

25. Prince Whateverer- I truly enjoy the heavy metal music that he employees in his songs. The guitar is spectacular and so are his lyrics and covers of songs. My favorite songs by him are often collaborations with other brony musicians. Prince Whateverer's signing is far too screamo in many songs for my liking but he balances his screamo with other pitches. Some songs he sings in he is quite reserved while others he pairs his unique voice with other talented bronies and their exquisite voices. My favorite songs by him are The Fight Inside, Rainbow Thrash and Breaking Bonds. Breaking Bonds is a true standout due to the amount of participating talented artists and the coordination between musical styles .http://www.youtube.com/user/princewhateverer/videos

24. DJ Pon-3- A great electronica artist who is both unique and creative with his Vinyl Scratch inspired music. My personal favorite songs by him are Vinylicious and The Others. Vinylicious is a play on Black Gryph0n's twilightlicious series and uses speaking parts to work with the music flawlessly. http://www.youtube.com/user/VinylScratchDjPony/videos

23. Psychgoth- Not much to say about this particular artist. He has a wide variety of strange electronica music mixes with collaborations. He has a lot of music that you can discover gold in such as Lulamoon, Shatter and She's a Vampire. http://www.youtube.com/user/psychgoth/videos

22. DJ Gestap- He makes mostly mixes while adding his own flavor of intense and ear pleasuring electronica. I love his Raise This Barn remix to death. He took my least favorite MLP song by far and turned it into an epic and catchy explosion of awesome beats. His other impressive works include Crystal Slave and his New Lunar Republic and Equestria Girls remixes. http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialGWH/videos

21. Eile Monty- She is an amazing vocalists. She sings and does collaborations for a plethora of artists with different genres. Her signing has defined songs and taken them to another level. I can't give any specific songs because most of them are under other artists but she has many I assure you. http://www.youtube.com/user/EileMontyVA/videos

20. Your Enigma- A late favorite for me but a favorite to be sure. I got into Enigma's unique mix of electronica and classical music from Top Ten Pony Songs (Which I always watch and vote). His music has a beautiful melody to it from the orchestra and plethora of classical instruments. He then takes this beautiful music and throws in some amazing electronica and blends its all together in a smoothie of pure ecstasy. The song that introduced me to Your Enigma was My Roommate is a Bassist. It had clever and humorous speaking parts mixed with orchestra, electronica, a story line and a remix of Love is in Bloom. He has several Vinyl Scratch and Octavia songs that mix swing, classical music and electronica while telling a progressing story..........WITH MUSIC!!! http://www.youtube.com/user/Yourenigma/videos

19. Flaedr- Some great original electronica songs with catchy beats but his best song is a remix. His remix of Win the Crown is what peaked my interests, which is true for many artists on here. It's an amazing song that's easy to remix well and uniquely. From that song I realized that I enjoyed his music, such as Never a Pushover and I Think They're at the Gala. http://www.youtube.com/user/SynthCrescendo/videos

18. Art Attack- This man knows how to make some serious drops and flip out in the mean time just to keep you interested. My favorite song is What is Fun? The beginning is beautiful and the drop is expertly set up. It is great dubstep but that's the problem. I like dubstep but it can be to dirty and i love electronica that flows more than screeches and explodes like dubstep. It unfortunately makes all of his songs less appealing to me. Some other examples of great songs I enjoy ,but are to dirty, are Still Shy and Twistrike. http://www.youtube.com/user/HaveAnArtAttack/videos

17. Foozogz- His happy brand of mixing everything except the kitchen sink has become an icon in the fandom. Videos often times use his catchy and fast paced electronica to enhance their videos, one such disturbing video is Smile HD. Although I do enjoy his famous Smile remix, my favorites start early on with his Winter Wrap Up remix and This Song Made Man a Fluttershy. They were very catchy and happy, instant draws if not for originality and delivery. Yet my favorite song was a cluster fuck remix that he then redid. This is the smorgasbord of remixes, seriously it has everything. Make It Special Reflection Mix has every MLP song at the time mashed together and paired with happy electronica to make an explosion of joy. Your eardrums will agree. http://www.youtube.com/user/PepperBrony/videos

16. Avenir- A little known artist who deserves recognition. Seriously, he has a wide range of music that's typically great. Once again his Helping Twilight Win the Crown remix is what caught my attention but it's not what made me stay. His Rarity series which includes Rarity killing Sweetie Bell made me stay. But one of my all time favorite brony songs is A Rarity: True North. The song features the amazing vocals of Forest Rain and has a mysterious yet intriguing story to tell. I absolutely adore the music and how the whole song comes together.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLkzeeo2xwI

15. Aftermath- One of my early favorites who continues to dazzle. I like all of his songs to an extent, they have great beats and are easy to get addicted to. The first song I heard from Aftermath was The Ballad of the Crystal Empire. To this day it is one of my favorite electronica songs. The melody paired with the amazing bass and drops is spectacular. The whole song comes together with the Crystal Empire song to make a real stand out. Other songs I love by Aftermath are Go to Sleep, which is dark and intense, and his remix of Helping Twilight Win the Crown. He also recently remixed the Bats song, which I didn't care for, into an interesting and addicting song. http://www.youtube.com/user/AftermathMakesMusic/videos

14. General Mumble- He was a trailblazer, early favorite and icon of brony music but recently he has drastically shifted directions. He has always had fairly dark and epic electronica that strays a ways from the "beaten path". My early favorites are Couldn't You Just Simply Die? which is an amazing Rarity song with one hell of a beat and Make it Stop and The New Lunar Republic. His version of the New Lunar Republic has the most unique and catchiest beat I've ever heard. Yet recently (by that I mean the last 50 songs essentially) have been excessively strange and dark. In my opinion, also lacking his flare and musical charm. The concepts and cover art is indiscernible, honestly it makes no sense and is the epitome of weird. His music has gone the same route as his cover up, indiscernible and just plain odd. http://www.youtube.com/user/Poowis/videos

13. Assertive Fluttershy- Another fandom favorite and trailblazer who has waned off recently. Although unlike General Mumble, Assertive's wane is because of a lack of content. He has only put out 1 song in the last year but it was still good. He has a limited amount of songs but they are classics that everyone in the fandom can recognize. His style of mixing electronica with sound bytes from the show is unmatched. His most recent song is Skybound which is quite enjoyable but his classics are Boooooring! and Boo Hoo. Everyone who is an involved brony has heard these songs, they are phenomenal, enough said. http://www.youtube.com/user/AssertiveFluttershy/videos

12. AcousticMandoBrony- I used these two stunning artists joint channel to showcase them both with songs from their own respective channels. Acoustic is great at writing songs, performing and playing ......well acoustic guitar obviously. Mando is also very talented in these realms but he stands out as a grand signer. When combined they make magic. Acoustic made one of my favorite songs ever with Mysterious Bronie (more from him later). It's Ok is a beyond gorgeous song in every way, I couldn't stop signing and playing it for a month it's so beautiful. Mando also has some great songs my favorite being I Live Forever and Let's Get Lost. Together though, they make something magical. They are making a series of songs for the mane 6 and their elements. Loyalty started the spark with an amazing rock song followed by the beautiful Kindness and stunning Generosity. I can't wait to see what magnificent concoction this pair comes up with next.

http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfYV42dBZipAMNdcF1eYZBw

11. Feather- The best and most iconic collaborator. Her gorgeous voice can be heard along side some of the best brony artists and her signing is what makes those songs stand out. Her original muisc never really caught my attention as I was disappointed with her song writing, until recently that is. Her newest song, Leaving Colours, is the antithesis of her other originals. It has great lyrics, stunning music and beautiful singing that is expertly put together. http://www.youtube.com/user/featherPONYARTIST/videos

10. Alex S.- Another early, instantly recognizable, artists. He unfortunately only has three major songs. After the third he said he would be releasing more pony songs but it has been a long time and he's been focusing on non brony music. A likely smart career choice but a sad one nonetheless. The three songs are Party With Pinkie, Trixie the Pony Troll and Ultimate Sweetie Belle. Some of the most creative and insane electronica ever. Especially Ultimate Sweetie Belle, which starts off calm but then with the famous "Oh come on!" the bass drops and it is the most aggressive, dirtiest and most unexpected drop ever.
http://www.youtube.com/user/DJAelxs/videos

9. Mysterious Bronie- What's up with all of the fantastic singers that do amazing collaborations but struggle with originals? Some people are just extremely talented in some ways and not so much in others. No insult to them it's more than I can say on an artistic basis and they sure can sing to make or break songs. His collaboration with Mando, It's Ok, is easily one of my all time favorite songs. the lyrics and music are just unbelievable and can be more addicting than nicotine. Yet it's the jaw dropping signing that ties it all together. Seriously, where would that song be without Mysterious Bronie's stunning voice hitting and holding those amazing notes? Apart from that song he also has numerous originals. To be frank his lyric writing could use some help. They are mediocre at best. Some of his best originals come from classic rock songs or are essentially parodies such as Dinkie's Mom and Beth (Ponyfied). He has good music in the form of some electronica and rock but his lyrics can sometimes derail those masterpieces. I like the electronica songs DJ VS Composer and Letters To Celestia. Rock songs can be hampered by his lyrics though but I still enjoy The Equestria Train. Honestly it depends but he's gotten better recently, releasing such songs as For Too Long, Right Here With Me and Love's in Stitches. It seems like he's better with lyrics when emotions and a story is involved but we will see. Truth be told this was likely my most biased pick for best artists. I put him probably too high but I love his voice and classical rock style, it suites me. He isn't very well known or defining in the fandom but he is an amazing signer with his own style and at the very least that's respectable. http://www.youtube.com/user/MysteriousBronie/videos

8. The Living Tombstone- The My Little Dashie of musicians. He is overrated and he owns it. What do I mean? Well he has the most song views and subscribers in the brony music realm but most of his songs are remixes of other brony songs. Why he's so famous is because he takes great songs and remixes them with his own flare to make them memorable and spectacular, case in point the famous (even outside of the fandom) Discord. Besides this he does have some good originals such as Good Girl. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLivingTombstone/videos

7. Hirosashii- Why do you not know this name? Why is he not a fandom celebrity? Hell if I know because he deserves it. I believe the first time I heard him was on honorable mentions on a Top Ten Pony Songs. The song was about Rarity and it was aptly named Alone. This is a song where words can't do it justice. Easily in my top 10 brony songs because of his amazing voice, lyrics and oh God that music that sends me flying with a story to boot. I then decided to listen to the rest of his music and I was not disappointed I assure you. Although Alone is his best vocal song by miles, his other songs still have great music, lyrics and stories with commendable singing. Soar The Sky, She Leads Us, Boogiemare and Fill Your Glass are all amazing and addicting songs that everyone needs to listen to........... Why are you still reading this? GO LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC NOW!!!!! NO EXCUSES HE'S EARNED YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/user/Hirosashii/videos

6. Aviators- Despite the name it's just one guy who knows how to make music. He has some amazing originals with some remixes thrown in. His collaborations and electronica are magnificent. He is one of the most successful brony artist as he has a label. His first break through song was Friendship, which most people are familiar with. Since then he has continued to produce amazing music and improve on his singing. He then came out with Fear of Flight and one of my favorite remixes, Love is in Bloom. He followed those up with the spectacular originals, Heroes and Open Your Eyes. Open Your Eyes was an amazing song to follow up and explain Twillight's feeling after becoming an alicorn but Aviators didn't slow down. I have said that Helping Twilight Win the Crown remixes can't be bad and those remixes have been pivotal for many of the artists on this list. Well Aviators made by far the most standout remix of Helping Twilight Win the Crown, now that's something to brag about with so much quality competition. The way he mixed the original with eletronica was orgasmic, only word that fits. I could listen to that song all day and never get tired of it. Finally his song Ashes was an epic that should be made into a Fanfic. Aviators is versatile and extremely well rounded. http://www.youtube.com/user/SoundOfTheAviators/videos

5. D.Notive- D.Notive is surrounded by the trailblazers and most successful brony artists. The fandom has been built and expanded by these musicians but D.Notive deserves to be here with the best. His signing style and music are both unique and captivating. As far as originals go he has some of the best. It's not often that an electronica artist can match his voice to his music flawlessly but D.Notive sure can. I could probably pick all of his songs but I'll try to limit my choices for convenience. His first standouts are Let Your Mane Down and Mistress Zecora. Let Your Mane Down is a spectacular song that has amazing vocals and lyrics to tell Sisterhooves Social in a unique way. Later, he released a Becoming Popular remix and his most inventive song Vicious Lies. Vicious Lies tells a compelling story about deceit, sisters and a kingdom. It uses great electronica with lyrics to captivate you into the story. His most recent songs are It's Not Over and Taking Flight. Taking Flight is about Twilight growing with her friends and becoming a princess. A fantastic way to give an overview of Twilight's growth. Just a bundle of joyous music. http://www.youtube.com/user/dnotive/videos

4. Black Gryph0n- Probably the most well known and most recognizable brony. He does everything from funny animations and reacts to music and writing all while serving the country. Him and his brother have released several iconic songs while serving in the U.S. Navy. Their first good song was dubstep fused with sound bytes called Dashstep, which is why my group of friends expanded the name to define all brony music. For awhile he released animations that kicked off the Twilightlicious series. After that he released four original songs with Baasik. Paper Sky was his first, which was deceptively high, making me think that was how he sang. Well I was wrong because if you listen to his MJ covers of Beat It and Thriller with Michelle Creber (who is a great singer and voices and sings for Apple Bloom and is only 15!) he has an absolutely stunning voice. Seriously it's the best in the fandom and it is jaw dropping to say the least. He then released Run and Faster Than You Know which are both expertly written and vocalized. His newest song was very fast paced and happy, called Are We There Yet, about the CMC being anxious to discover their destinies. His songs really showcase his range of pitch and talent as they are all extremely unique. Faster Than You Know, which is about time passing for alicorn Twilight, is my favorite but I love all his originals. And that's what impresses me the most is that his songs are original and have great lyrics and melodys all of which him and his brother wrote. Besides that, he is very involved in the community and is a hilarious and great guy. Seriously, watch his Christmas tour on ACRacebest channel and his bronies reacts on the same channel. He is always the funniest and happiest guy, making him probably my favorite brony. http://www.youtube.com/user/christkids/videos

3. Eurobeat Brony- Another early trailblazer who makes some fantastic originals. His songs have greatly orchestrated beats and lyrics that are both unique and catchy. They tell a story and are all made by him, showing his talent. His first major original and my favorite is Luna, which tells about Celestia lamenting the loss of her sister. He then released his most famous song, Discord. That's right folks if there was no Eurobeat then there's no Discord song, which means no Living Tombstone remix that has expanded out from the fandom in popularity. Unfortunately, for all of Euorbeat's creativity and work, he has a fourth of the views that Tombstone's remix has and a sixth of the subscribers. Honestly I enjoy the original more and think Eurobeat deserves better than to be pushed to the side. Even though he got a bit side stepped on his greatest work, he continues to make new and great songs like Diamond Dogs. http://www.youtube.com/user/OdysseyEurobeat/videos

2. Sim Gretina- Oh where to begin. Eh screw it there is no way that I can even list a fourth of the songs by Sim Gretina that I have even downloaded. He releases so much content that it's mind boggling. Over 300 songs and almost always a minimum of 1 a week, often more. Everypony who's anypony has collaborated with Gretina and he is always on the Top Ten Pony Songs even if he had a down month. He mostly does electronica but he has everything. He has remixed every MLP song ever and still comes out with brony and non brony originals on a regular basis. It's insane, just scroll through his channel and be mesmerized by the sheer amount of content. I would say my favorite songs by him are Wings and Magic but he has so many great songs that I easily lose track.
http://www.youtube.com/user/SimGretina/videos

1. Wooden Toaster- What more can I say, I love the guy. Every single brony song that he has released has immediately become one of my favorites. His song Nightmare Night was one of the first brony songs I heard and it was instantly my favorite and remains my favorite to this day. It's probably in my top ten songs ever including Journey songs (my favorite band). My group decided that it would be sort of the unofficial song of our group of friends that are bronies (not all my friends are, a lot aren't). Songs like Rainbow Factory inspired a popular fanfic and Beyond Her Garden has been remixed a million times. Almost everyone of his songs has been made into a PMV by BronyDanceParty and remixed by Living Tombstone. He even made a sequel to Rainbow Factory, Awoken, which I thought was better. Other amazing songs include Avast Fluttershy's Undercarriage, Pinkie's Lie, Lost on the Moon, Fruits of Her Labour, She's a Pony and Love Me Cherliee. Now for the sad part, I literally just named all of his brony songs. He hasn't released a new brony song in over a year and his last four songs have been non pony related, which I could understand but it's been 6 months since his last song. He even posted a comment saying he was going to make more music but he just wasn't feeling like it. Talk about a waste of talent. Someone who can make such stunning originals with great orchestration and lyrics just stops because eh he doesn't feel like making music right now. No other reason than that. I might get some abuse for that criticism for being unfair but I'm pissed. I absolutely love his music and he is so good but he stops just because. No real good reason just eh I don't like my God given talent and blessing of notoriety and success. If he's busy or wants to try other things or take his music to a more mainstream audience I could understand but this just comes across as lazy. He just nonchalantly is throwing away so much and it's absurd. I wouldn't care if his music wasn't so influential on the fandom and amazing. . Seriously he would release a song and everyone would go nuts and he'd shoot right to the top of Top Ten Pony Songs. Take the time to listen to all his songs and you'll understand.
