Mass Effect: Continuum - Update · 3:53am May 7th, 2012
First of all I'd like to thank everyone who gave positive feedback to my Pony x Mass Effect crossover. When I first approached the idea of this story I was already aware that there were several other MLP x ME crossovers already in existence. I quickly browsed through them to get a sense of what they were about so I could try to approach this subject from a different perspective. I'm happy to see that a lot of readers found my method agreeable.
Part of what lead me to write this particular crossover was my awareness of the predominantly negative response to the Mass Effect 3 ending. I, myself, rather enjoyed the ending I got at the time. Now I did find some aspects of it to be rather lackluster and other points in need of improvement, but at the time that I'd beaten the game I could not have imagined the amount of fan fervor that would erupt over the endings. I've listened to a lot of the arguments, theories, and issues on the topic and while I agree with some points, and disagree with others, the one subject that I hated above all was the lack of closure for Shepard's crew. I wanted to at least see how everyone turned out in the end. Maybe the free DLC coming out soon will address some of these issues. Regardless, I wanted to write this story to give Shepard and Anderson, 'one more story,' and explore the future consequences of ending the Reaper war.
I'm a firm believer that its not about the destination, its all about the journey. Ending aside, I love the everlasting squee out of this game.
Not really sure what the overall point of this blog was, but again thanks to everyone who gave me a chance and replied.
Bioware has announced that the DLC will be more closure, rather than a different ending, but it will be changed by a player's decisions throughout the trilogy, so we can finally get our private ending.
