Took a quick nap and had a bizarre nightmare:
It felt like a commercial for a horror film in reverse: I'm in the POV of a young woman and I can hear her thoughts and voice. IT sounds like she's already survived and escaped, except that time is now rolling backwards and she's aware that it's happening and her struggles can't change it. Crawling backwards into the house, stumbling back down the hallway and past a dinning room. A young girl, perhaps a ghost made flesh, leads her backwards and tells her that she can't escape this time and must relive it all again.
The woman's thoughts grow from panicked whispers to begging and screaming as she remembers what comes next as the girl lets her go. We turn and see blood splashed on the wooden floor start to rise in drips then streams. Just as it disappears upwards the puddle looks like a face before a man's head bounces past us, smacking the floor once before our eye follow it up to the body dangling above us. Neck reconnects with skull as a large figure seemingly hauls a fireaxe across our vision in reverse. I can feel her, our, panic rising again as the figure looms ominously away from her, because soon it will start to happen again.
...
Yeah, weird, messed up or stupid, this is what woke me from a dead sleep. Honestly I think it sounds better when I tell it out loud.
Keep up the art,
