My Holiday Fic Insanity!! · 4:40am Dec 13th, 2011
So I'm right in the middle of writing my Cheer On fic and figure I'll probably skip writing a holiday themed fic. Then all of a sudden I get an idea for a simple little story bout Twilight and Santa Hooves, that would only take about a day or so to write and figure that will be good enough. As I'm going through it, I get to a part where I want to describe Santa and figure, what the heck, let's just conform the description from Twas the Night Before Christmas, since it's the generally accepted norm of what Santa looks like. After doing so, I realize it looks really wierd that, for whatever reason, I decided to keep the rhyming scheme for this one little paragraph, while the rest of the story dosn't rhyme. So, instead of doing the sensible thing and changing the one short paragrpah (Which I did eventually do) I decided to go back and rewrite the rest of the story so it would all rhyme.
Five days later, I have this poem that is over 5000 words long...
I am not a poet and never have been. I did the whole thing on a random whim becuase I decided to use one simple line of poetry. It's even more crazy becuase I did this in the middl of writing my other fic. In that light, to those readers who have been following Cheer On, I promise to get the next chapter up very soon, at hopefully before the holiday episode of the show comes out. Untill then, maybe enjoy reading this story, Twilight's Night After Santa Hooves, to pass the time.
By the way, my short description of what goes on during next weeks episode is totally a guess. It might not be true at all, so if it isn't, oh well.
