Why not? Because I don't like the CMC and the episode did nothing to change that for me (It did nothing to make me dislike them any more than I do either), and I didn't feel like slobbering that fact all over my blog and annoying my followers who do like them.
Anyway, Here's a few production notes on the latest chapter. Spoilers abound, BTW:
I have to say that writing Fleur to be a bit egotistical about her looks was not as simple as I first thought. At first it was just the line about it being a lot of work to keep up with being the most beautiful unicorn in Equestria but I found it hard to convince myself that she meant it. Of course, I built that up a bit and will reference it in the remaining two chapters.
Also, to be referenced in the remaining two chapters (we'll see how much) is Fleur's continuing to try to comprehend Fluttershy's quitting, which will have a bit of psychology referenced at the party. That doesn't really deserve to just be open and shut in one scene of one chapter, IMO. (It was going to at first, but...)
And don't you love it when new canon actually supports your headcanon? Daring Don't did that for me when we heard why Pinkie was throwing a party, and when it aired the bit about Pinkie finding any reason to throw a party was already in the story.
