Oh good lord, my precious brain-juices!

Wow. So here I sit looking at all the favorites, likes, and comments on "Are You Ready To, Rumble?" and people asking for a second chapter, and it's a mix of feelings. First, of course is "Oh god, the thing I'm most-known for on the internet is clopfic!" followed by "well, at least I'm not that known!" Second, more importantly, it's a little twinge of happiness that, whatever the snarky inner opinion of mine says, people seem to be enjoying this little bit of my work.

And then there's the frustration. I sit here looking at a chapter 2 piece, and I know what I want to do with it. I know where it needs to go, what sort of things I want going on in there... Hell, I know enough that ideas for a third are bubbling in there. The problem is just getting it out, squeezing it all out of my brain into text. And the problem is... well, my brain is a dried-up husk at the moment.

Work, adventures with family drama, and a half-dozen other projects have all run into the wall of my own super power of not-getting-shit-done. Yeah that's right. Logan gets to heal super-fast, Superman can reverse time by spinning the earth towards the west, and me? I have a mutant ability that allows me to make a carefully-ordered line of projects shatter into scattered, sobbing fragments.

That and I'm kind of lazy, too. Maybe it's mostly the lazy.

Anyway, there is a Chapter 2 coming! There are also some other fics percolating though my pointy head, as well. The trick is just finding my inner Twilight to make a damned list or something. It's already about half-written, but getting to, uh, the good parts is a little tricky.
