Update to The Dying of the Light and The long Dark of Finals Week · 2:15pm Apr 30th, 2012
Hello.
I now have CH 2 of "The Dying of the Light" published on the site. Please leave comments/reviews/criticism as you see fit. I found writing CH 2 to be easier than writing the first chapter, though there were definitely some things that I struggled with.
I'd like to know if shorter chapters with more frequent updates would be preferred, or if longer chapters with less frequent updates would be preferred. My current strategy is to get a scene clearly in my head (I know where the overall story is going), and then write, revise, and re-write until it feels done. This gives me a chapter of ~1.3K words for each 'scene', but if I wanted to, I could definitely expand these further or combine scenes so as to have longer chapters.
The main issue I have right now is time: I'm doing ~4 different projects at once, and the main thief of time at the moment is finals. I won't really be able to get into the swing of things until after finals, which means the next update may not come until next Monday, or maybe even later than that. I will have some free time this weekend, though, so I hope to at the very least have an update by next Monday.

Shorter (~ 1.3k right?) but more frequent updates is alright i would say.
