Character Development
00 Intro
Hello everyone, welcome to class. Please put cellphones away and shut any unnecessary devices down.
It's time for Character Development Lessons.
In this series of blogs, I'm going to be exploring how to make a character. This is something I feel I need to do for my works and something we can all learn about together.
So at 9:00 pm NZT (+12:00) every night - that's around midnight to two in the morning for you Americans - I will post about my research, what I have learned, and what we can all take away from the study.
So for tonight, time is currently 7:00 pm so in two hours, I will post about something slightly basic to start us off.
We are going to look at what makes a character, so I've chosen a character that I'll decode and share info on on what makes her a good character.
I talk about Rin Tezuka from the game Katawa Shoujo, developed by Four Leaf studios (4chan, apparently). Don't be put off, it is undoubtedly one of the most well developed and written graphic novels, hell even out of most normal stories, I have ever written. If you haven't played it then I recommend you do so.
The reason I'm choosing Rin tonight is because she is a character that is so unique, nothing could compare.
For more, you'll have to wait until tonight. You think you'll be interested in this series, or have any ideas, tips, or tidbits you wish to add, please be sure to comment.
Class is dismissed!
