So yeah, since I really doubt resubmitting to EqD will achieve anything because I didn't resolve the major issues the last prereader had with BWSD (I dispute the validity of said issues, but that's beside the point), I'm aiming for a different kind of release.

Every Thursday (starting last Thursday--I know, sorry, I'm late), around 10-11PM EST/EDT, I'll post a chapter of arc 2 up on FIMFic and add it to the public GDoc. You can find the former here, the latter here.

The idea behind this is to get it up on the front page of FIMFic more often and thus get more exposure. I'm never going to have the audience I would if I remolded to post it on EqD, since unlike FIMFic they do have a quality filter -- so people with not a whole lot of time to dig through the mountains of fiction on FIMFic will mostly rely on EqD for their ponyfic' fix.

I am contemplating uploading but not publishing the entirety of arc 3, then giving interested parties the unpublished view password. The regular release public schedule (every Thursday) would remain the same. Undecided as of yet; if this is something you'd prefer, please let me know, if there's enough interest, I'll do it.

On the topic of EqD's rejection: I'm not going to call out names nor mention what they deemed was unworthy (no they didn't use that exact word). Suffice to say, about 60-70% of the issues they found were either intentional or something I believe adds positively to the story. Needless to say, I am adamant that the targeted parts of BWSD should not and need not change.

Ironically, they became hopeful upon reading the opening poem. I find it to be excessively flowery, perhaps a touch too vague, and definitely not something that shares the flavor of majority of the story (if it did, I would have just started into the story without any lead-in), but then the in-universe author of said poem has exactly that kind of style.

Not having 'fixed' most of their issues because I don't believe they're valid, I don't think I can risk submitting to EqD again because of their three-strike rule (any fic' rejected three times is banned). But then again, without a massive amount of word-of-mouth exposure, I really won't get much exposure without EqD, so it might be a risk I have to take to really get this out there.

Just a heads up.
