Well fellow fimfiction users I am still here and not just writing drunken blog posts about stories that are dead.
As some of you know I finally managed to get around to putting out a chapter of a story I started some time ago.
Here is why it took me so long to get done:
1: Alaska
Broke me mentally and convinced me I needed to get back to writing legitimate work instead of fan fiction.
2: Work
I just barely started working again. I have a sort of volunteer job as a defensive line coach at a nearby high school but that doesn't pay the bills, I am working again though with some troubled youth which is fun.
3: life in general
My dad left for Afghanistan about a week ago as of writing this. It's his third tour of duty and it's very hard to think he will be gone for a year. I'm very close with my father and I hate to see him leave and think he may never come back.
But there is some light in this tunnel.

You guys who enjoy my stories should really go throw roses to this guy. If not for him I'd just left all of this for dead. So thank you Darq Fox for making me actually want to write fan fiction still, you crazy ferrety bastard you.
If you are a fan of shipping or fics that will warm your heart go see him. He is an avid (fucking psychotic) Twishy shipper and has convinced me it is the only cute and worthwhile ship if still unrealistic. Go support him, he deserves it.

Glad to see you back Laars, as well as to see an update to "Trial of the Champion"! Totally understand where you're coming from on the busy schedule as well; been taking me months to get chapters 3 and 4 done for my own fic, but they're finally nearing completion, so hopefully I'll be releasing those soon.
