Okay my faithful readers....I need your help. I have an interesting idea for a fic, but I just have one slight problem. I don't know what type of ponies to use. I already used the normal ponies in Redemption, damnation and Fim, so I want to try something else now just to keep things fresh. I have two choices Im settled on, either one will work I guess but I want to pick the right one that will grab readers and keep them for the fic.
The first is humanized ponies. You know where they are put in human forms, usually keeping traits from their pony bodies like wings or horns and such.
The second is anthro ponies. Not sure how i can describe anthro ponies cause im sure that it can vary in degree.
If anyone wants a picture I will place two for you to look at.

Do note that I have NO artistic skill so I take no credit for these pics, that goes to the respective artists from deviant art. Also know that these pics are giving an example of what I might use dependig on which one I pick. I might change some features but pretty much these are the choices.
So....please help me pick. just drop a vote in the comments otherwise I'll be forced to use the old coin flip.
First off, I would need to know what kind of story it is. Second, the pics arent working.

My vote for Anthropomorphic.
Might be a bit biased, but in my opinion anthro keeps the 'ponies' feel better. If you just turn em into humans... well they aint ponies anymore!
Either way, I am waiting for more good reading!
i'm gonna go for human, while they may not be ponies anymore, i personally can't imagine anthro steampunk
and that anthro image of rarity gives me the heebyjeebies

Hmmm.... I don't like humanized ponies, kinda ruins the point for me. The anthro ponies could be where the ponies get their DNA spliced with human DNA, how about that?
69598 Anthros are something like that, not fully human but have what we would see as a human body type almost, while maintaining various features that are not human, like wings tail, those cute fluffy ears on the head. Stuff like that.

OF COURSE! I personally have a thing for stories where the main character(s) gets altered or mutated in some way and gets powers or something. Like if someone gets mutated and thier human mind is fighting with primal instincts. I love those kind of stories.

I know that this responce will be late, but your picture for anthro isn't really anthro. The one that you pikked just looks like humanized with colored skin. For a look at what anthro Ponies would look like go look for an artist called hattonslayden on deviantart.
