Finally Have a Writing Quarters All to Myself Now... · 10:58am Oct 3rd, 2013

Eeyup. I converted our old front room here at home into my personal writer's space.

Let's see...

Hanging under an accent headlight at the top wall of my desk are my posters of the three places I would want to visit if I ever could, those being: Ponyville, Canterlot and the Crystal Empire. They're the same posters that I got at the Expo a couple of weeks ago, and boy do they look lovely under my new light I bought literally minutes ago.

Underneath that, I have my Applejack shadow-box, my "clock" and a map of Equestria pinned up. The shadow box has a few AJ items, as well as some Dusty and AJ art I received at the Expo. It's my prized possession at the moment, but not as prized as the Applejack plush that sits on my desk with her pretty little hat on. The clock is, you guessed it, my Derpy wristwatch pinned up with thumbtacks. Works great since it's small enough to fit in the middle of everything. To the right of that is the map of Equestria that is the official map from Hasbro. I've been using this map since I got it, and boy-howdy is it a handy reference.

Underneath the map is my commission of Dusty attacking with his spear. I can't help but think of him as my own son, but he looks smashing thanks to the artist. Also another of my favorite possessions.

And then we have the desk. AJ plush on one side, Fluttershy yarn figurine on the other. Let's not forget the cup of coffee and a lit candle to set the mood when I write.

I love this set up, and hopefully with some good cleaning and rearrangement, I could turn this into my own little fandom headquarters. Anybody got ideas of what to call this room?

Stay gourd, my friends.
