Apple Scratch, Mega Mare and some Fanfic Recommendations!

The next Apple Scratch chapter should be up by tomorrow, with a second chapter similar in theme to it up by the weekend! Yeah, that's right, we're not 100% winging it this time, we're planning ahead!

Mega Mare's next fight will be up by the weekend as well, since those chapters tend to get written pretty quickly, so I can work on that alongside Apple Scratch.

...As for poor old Blue and Bass, do not fret, as I'll likely get back to that next week!

Now then, because I feel like it, I want to recommend a few random fics for you guys. Why? Because during train rides to school and the early morning waits and long afternoon breaks I have, I practically binge on reading long fics as if I was running through entire TV seasons on Hulu! So, I thought, why not? Let's name a few, shall we?

"Spiders and Magic: Rise of Spider-Mane" What happens when everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is summoned to Equestria? Well, besides trying to fight off a dragon, he quickly becomes morphed into a pony and is thrust into a conflict involving Discord and potentially some other sinister baddies. If you'd like seeing Peter not be so down on himself for once when he's not being Spider-Man, give this a shot, cause it's amazing how the magic of friendship and a public support of Spider-Man can do. Canon involves...well, whatever continuity that had Gwen as well as her tragic death (as well as a teenaged Peter; 19, to be exact), since I don't keep up enough with the comics to know which one that is off the top of my head.

"A Dark Knight for Equestria" Similar to Spider-Mane in that a superhero is suddenly in Equestria, but in this case, Batman had chased Morgaine through a portal, stays in his human form and doesn't quite like being in Equestria. Can the Dark Knight get used to the pastel ponies? Can the ponies get used to someone so dark and brutal? Well, they're gonna have to so they can stop Morgaine. Canon involes the Arkham game series and tie-in comics (Arkham Asylum and Arkham City; written before Arkham Origins was unveiled).

"The Audience" A Brony-in-Equestria type fic, but this is of an older fan that makes interesting social commentary on the brony phenomenon (as well as general statements about the human race) as he explains the deal to the Mane 6 and the princesses after falling through a seemingly random portal. Eventually, he becomes an ambassador of sorts as his influence begins to spread. Items like computers showing up through the same portal and explanations of human concepts prompt the pony population to create equivalents and museums of human technology and lifestyles...right down to a McDonald's, even (only with meat byproducts, before you worry about that). If you're into social commentary, this story is right up your alley.
