Okay, here's the thing. I already have a story written. I wrote it over the course of six months (nine if the first story that had to be scrapped but had the same overall idea is included). It has thirty-four parts, of which 11 are main chapters ranging anywhere from 4,000 to 15,000 words in length. I had one major reader to get an opinion on it and one alpha editor. It has gone through somewhere around seven major revisions. Some of the revisions included adding the most important subplot to the story and completely changing the entire personality of the main character. So, I have put a lot of effort into it.
That's not to say I expect it to be incredibly well received. The story is highly unconventional in both its nature and how it is written. It is not even close to a typical pony fanfiction. Even then, it is not until the third main chapter (the seventh actual chapter) that the first major pony character appears. That is what worries me the most about it.
Still, I at least thought it would be simple to upload the story. Turns out no. When I tried to upload one of my documents one of the paragraphs was inexplicably missing. I have no idea why that could happen. Now I have to carefully read each document to make sure that sentences aren't missing for no reason.
Now I am not complaining, I'm just confused. I guess I can't just upload everything and be done with it.
I'm currently short on time (two major projects and a test next week) but I thought I would be able to upload a major chapter every two days and so finish the story within three weeks. My plan is to now just get one document up every two days and get a major chapter out every week. This means I'll probably be done within three months if all goes well.
Oh well, that's just how it goes.
